T.T seems like LX5 is as good as dslr... Not trying to be mean or whatsoever, that's the reality.PnS can never ever touch DSLR quality due to that small tiny sensor.Sensor influences optical/image quality,ISO performance,DOF and etc.Heck,an LX5 would barely survive ISO800 whereas the D90 can easily go ISO3200. And DSLRs are popular also for their shallow DOF images, versatility to use different prime lenses specifically for "bokeh" like 50 f/1.4,85 f/1.2L.Heck, Even if LX5 has a F/1.0 lens, it still wouldn't produce real bokeh at all. Yeah but like you said, it either looks fake (bokeh is sacrilege to some folks... so cannot be fake one) or if really take the time to photochop it layer by layer, it'll look nice but need a lot of time. Then again, small sensor and big sensor are different animals all together.. small sensor also have an advantage with its wide dof like for things like street photography. I think problem with this pic is the composition... there's no subject nor background. Littleprawn, the pic #5 in post #515 will look a whole lot better if u crop out that jamban looking thing at the bottom. Looks terrible like a jamban there. Then if u can rub off that white gunny sack thing too then lagi best.
