It seems to me that now is the best time to grab LX3 since by reading from the spec, there is no much improvement carried out on LX5 compared to LX3.

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Oct 18 2010, 03:10 PM) PnS vs DSLR------>pointless comparison. The D90 will butcher the LX5 until there's nothing left, just scraps and bones! Regarding the bokeh effect, there is a compromised way to do it through software. Though not as natural but it definitely does a good job.Not trying to be mean or whatsoever, that's the reality.PnS can never ever touch DSLR quality due to that small tiny sensor.Sensor influences optical/image quality,ISO performance,DOF and etc.Heck,an LX5 would barely survive ISO800 whereas the D90 can easily go ISO3200. And DSLRs are popular also for their shallow DOF images, versatility to use different prime lenses specifically for "bokeh" like 50 f/1.4,85 f/1.2L.Heck, Even if LX5 has a F/1.0 lens, it still wouldn't produce real bokeh at all. Anyway, this discussion should be brought up here instead: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1247191/+2960 |

Have any of you tried to match LX3 accessories on LX5? Does it turn out okay?
