Lol, the slider was busted to begin with - it was the main reason I tore my N900.

IINM the led signal for battery full is a solid unblinking green light.
*
what is the repair cost of the slider itself?

@aspire2006: I USED a guitar pick stylus strap from my old 5800. Very convenient really.

@chicaman: That actually depends on your mce.ini settings.

Well guys, it's official. When it rains, it pours. After getting the quotation for my N900 repair (motherboard and slider - RM400, two weeks), my W810i died.

Now typing from my newly aquired toy, a battle hardened 2nd hand E71.
*
I'm using normal touch by fingers.Don't have much trouble with it.

With default mce setting, your led indicator should be in static green if your battery is fully charged.

Where did you get the quotation of repair?
Though luck for you. Most probably your phone died because of long time no usage.

I recommend you 500-850MHz setting.
The initial 500MHz clock speed will make your phone more responsive after you unlock.

Di mana angry bird lv pack 2 & 3??????

since it is always in standby mode, occasionally sms. it last me 7-8hours.

but if i on pidgin and usage, it would last only 3-4hours. honestly i cant tell the any difference in battery life between clocked and non-clocked.

Considering that Maemo's the only real desktop grade OS on a phone, I don't think I'm really going anywhere.

Also, my new Shiichi-Tan (the 71) fills up much of the N900's failings as a phone, so no worries there.

Unless of course, Meego turns out to be better.

Maemo has been in the state of semi-abandonment ever since the 770 NIT days to begin with, and the community did fine nonetheless.

Lol, the CPU already does this automatically (runs at whatever you set, idles at zero) - what you're setting are CPU freqs for low load and max load.

Your N900 WILL die VERY QUICKLY if it runs full speed all the time, especially when OCed.
