Some hardware rolled off the factory with fault. I bought a UD4 mobo for my 1st ever SB build, came back home with happy face, installed everything, fired up and only to find out that it won't boot, no beep no nothing. The bloody 3th and 4th RAM banks were faulty. doh.gif

yes actually not only coke any fizzy drink will do but apparently coke works best. just make sure lots of fizz, put in a big cup, throw ur waterblock (in ur case the base plate only) and wait 10 minutes. Rinse it with distilled after that and u r good to go.

Oxidation will reappear though after a period of time.
