hi guys. wanna ask..i just got my gtx590 water block from clawhammer.. but the water block itself is so super damn heavy...if i install it on the gc...and plug it into pci-e slot....i afraid the card teeth might break off from the slot due to overweight of the water block..any idea? noob in water cooling.

Nice block you have there, sam. biggrin.gif I guess all the EK GPU blocks weight about the same... Yea, just like what owikh84 said, screw it on. I put two screws on mine. Firm and steady. rclxms.gif

irienaoki, that PC you found, exactly as in the picture? blink.gif  If it's, then no need to alter anything lah.  It's already one hell of a setup/design. rclxms.gif

ngteeyong, here is the list:
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Sear...e=water+cooling  biggrin.gif Or, if you are really interested in this particular hobby, then I'd suggest you to read through this thread, at least the last 100 pages of it.  I'm sure you will find lots of useful information, such as what items you need to have to start the project, how to run the loop, how to bleed air in the loop, what liquid to use...and bla bla bla.  Because that's what I did, and I only started it since mid April.  Basically, still a noob I'm.  blush.gif

Regarding how much you need to start of with, it all depends on what kind of setup you want.  The cheaper cooling kit will probably cost you few hundred RM if not mistaken, but you won't have much headroom in the future if you want to expand the loop.  Means you will gonna buy the whole new thing again.  Custom loop will cost you a little bit more in the start, but you get to pick every single part that you want/need, and they can be easily expanded in the future.

Cheers! smile.gif

You mean the box is in its original shape? Well, while there are lots of cases made specially for water cooling, I believe with some creativity and mod, you can always build a dream machine out of any cases. That is IF you like to mod stuff and are comfortable with it. smile.gif

I guess sometimes these GPU can run a bit too hot. A friend of mine told me that his GTX 275 is running at 100c+ while gaming, and it's under stock setting. While the other one has his melted... sweat.gif IF, my EK GTX block shows problem...these are the options I'd go:

IF, I'm going air cool route for the GPU...

And for water cool... smile.gif
