mcr220 can handle 4GHz OC, i tried it. but you need a couple of good fan, pull setup and cpu only loop.
mine loads at 63-64º C for i7 930 @ 4.0GHz

QUOTE(rzs77 @ Jul 19 2010, 10:19 PM) anybody know a good reservoir that can fit in the rv02? my reservoir is hanging by a single screw and 2 cable ties only there was a guy in XS who mounted his EK multioption to his GPU water block on the RV2. i tried to find the picture but it's already moved.Very scared it won't hold... if ek multioption, where to put? he was using the smallest multioption. mount it directly on his GPU water block using 90 degree adapter |

QUOTE(reiben05 @ Jul 20 2010, 12:37 AM) both the obsidian and tj07 are great cases i like tj07 too. obsidian too kotak. if kotak style i'm thinking of lian li pc-a77i would prefer the TJ07 thou since its made of aluminium.. so much easier to mod and lighter as well.. but u can't go wrong with either two jus can't get over this mod. i want to make one http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=252017 |

if you want to work on this case, definately need to mount the rad outside. if done the right way, it can still look good.
example » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « @selfdz87 for your case, hdd cage definitely going bye bye. can use that space to mount the pump + res. sell off the 250 res and use 100 instead. get a male-male adapter (vlad has emm less than 20 bucks), mount your res on top of that pump, through the water inlet. |

QUOTE(vladtheimpaler @ Jul 25 2010, 03:59 PM) hmm, thats what i thought...if u have extra cash bro, get one of'em swift's rad box or EK's bracket and mount the fans on the other side, push would be good. having some distance from the psu is a good thing. i kinda faced the same problem on my current build, fans sucking and pushing hot air from GC backplate into the rad time for a change. change fan orientation so it would suck air rather than push out. heheheee, did that on mine (all rads internal mount). got some increase in cooling performance (1-2º). downside is, pc becomes a vacuum cleaner |

QUOTE(gto87 @ Aug 6 2010, 07:26 PM) Too all Taiko.. I'm a newbie in WC setup. usually bad luck, you might get bad batches. happens with every mass produced items. This is what I come up with after weeks of research 1. EK-FC5870 Nickel 2. TFC Xchanger - Quad Radiator 480 3. DD / Laing, D-5 12 Volt Pump with mounting bracket - with variable speed control 4. EK-Multioption reservoir 150 I haven't decide on which waterblock yet. Thinking of choosing EK but since Clawhammer posted all that links about how EK is not a very good product, maybe I will choose HEATKILLER revision 3.0 for socket 1366. I'm having trouble deciding the casing for this setup. Planned on using HAF932 but then surely have to change the RAD, right? Thanks in advance.. get the tj07 for that 480 monster. and a bitspower top for your pump. and the new version of EK multioption res |
