Finally, I flipped through all 102 pages of posts... biggrin.gif A total newbie in PC water cooling I'm, this place has given me some very good info and idea for my 1st WC project, although all my parts are still on their way. Hope you guys don't mind if I ever ask some noob questions over here... blush.gif

Thanks, DzX and selfdz87. Yea, I always wanted a water cool setup since some times ago but have never done it due to I don't have good hardware to pair with it, and it'd be a waste of money. Until all the parts reach my hands to start the project, at the mean time, it'll be best for me to keep quiet and do some study on you guys' setup 1st. Cheers! biggrin.gif

Pos Laju showed up this afternoon. So got it hooked up and running leak test now on a spare empty case. Gonna get some fans tomorrow for the radiator, then install to my machine. biggrin.gif

Went to look for some fans for my radiator yesterday, and a friend intro me the Arctic F12. Have 3 on my radiator now running at around 70-80% speed...noise level, almost unaudible. Good stuff. biggrin.gif

hi guys, just wanna ask if the XSPC is a good starter kit for wc?
XSPC Rasa 750 RS360 from Frozen CPU
First time want to wc, i have a i7 2600k and using a haf-x. Plan to cool the gpu also in the future..

Hope to get opinion from pros here.. My budget is around USD200.
*
I wanted to get that too when I did my 1st shopping, but I felt that it's quite troublesome to work with that dual bay res with pump combo. IF, lets say, one day the pump "kong" liao...then you will have to get the res+pump kit again, if the pump is not available seperately.

Just my opinion, it's always better to get the individual part. smile.gif

Frankly, USD150 budget with individual parts is impossible...cost gets even higher after you add in the postage. I wanted to keep my cost down too when I build mine but it's just not gonna work.

A CPU water block + triple 120 radiator are already around USD100...add in fittings, pump, reservoir, and tubing, all together will probably cost you USD250-300. Consider Canada and USA currency exchange rate is almost 1:1...it's pretty affordable. Not like us, order from Malaysia using RM, we have to add in the heavy postage and multiple by 3.2... sweat.gif

guys, quick question.
does H70 fits nicely in HAF912? icon_question.gif
thinking of getting one later this evening..
*
I think H50 and H70 are more or less the same, except that the later has a thicker radiator. I had a H50 with my previous setup, housed in Gigabyte 3D Aurora...looks neat tho. smile.gif

louis91, save up another USD150, then I'm pretty sure you will be a happy man. It ain't that hard to save another 150, right? biggrin.gif

acther, that case available in Malaysia? smile.gif

what kind of radiator do i need for full loop of CPU+GPU?
*
A 120x3 for CPU, and a 120x2 (or x3) for GPU. That's what I noticed most of the ppl did. A good rad will definitely last you forever, I believe. smile.gif

Supernothing, that A77B looks good. Wonder is there any Malaysia-based online store selling Lian-Li case? I like that X2000F too...but if to order from overseas, that thing will cost me RM2.5K+. sweat.gif

louis, most of the complete kits either don't allow further upgrade, or the parts are not top notch. That's why most of the ppl go for the custom route where they can pick the best possible on every parts. On the barb fittings for example, what come with the kit will be the most basic ones, but you will probably end up buying rotary barbs when you find out that you can't get the tube to run in the way you want it to be.

The XSPC Rasa 750 is actually a good start if you are really in a tight budget, and a 1st time user. At least you will know what are required in a single loop. You can always replace the pump and reservoir to seperate/individual unit if you feel the need to upgrade in the future. It's a customizable complete kit. smile.gif

Haha. Because the previous time, I had to go out to chase the PosLaju driver and met him at a private business premises to collect my stuff due to the driver has "no time" to deliver the package to my home...and it was only 4pm. So yesterday, complained to HQ after my whole day been wasted for waiting for nothing, and told them my previous experience. I think it's an effective way. laugh.gif

Anyway, except the fans, everything else is still in the box. Now waiting for my new PC case. Those fans, simply awesome! Thanks for you guys info. notworthy.gif

kakicam, I just email to Pos Malaysia HQ and told them my experience with the local branch service attitude. I mean, who would expect the PosLaju delivery man said that he has no enough time to deliver the item at 4pm, where the place I met him up that time was only about 6 or 7KM from my home? Besides, from the tracking status, he failed to deliver the item in 3 days...so, I told them, maybe in this town, PosLaju means sendiri laju laju pi pos office ambil. shakehead.gif

louis91, I use sharp scissors. No worries. smile.gif

By the way, guys, just wondering is it hard to install that EK-FC580GTX+ water block? Is there anything I should pay extra attention? I watched the video on youtube and it looks "not so easy"... sweat.gif
