I just done my upgrade from 1M to 4M yesterday. I'm given another free new modem (Zyxel). But, the speed is around 3.5-3.8M only. I'm not getting 4M although the port is capped at 5M. Probably will call the tech again to check it out.

What procedure u did? Still applicable now? The rate is still the same? How about the phone rental that I read in some previous post? (Sorry for so many question, was wondering whether to upgrade or just apply unifi...)

I went to TM point and tell them to upgrade my streamyx. Submitted photocopy of IC and student ID. I was told it's RM88 per month. So the rate would still apply. But, it'll only be confirmed when i receive the bill. The price should include phone rental as always.

yes..its still applicable..the price include phone rental too..i juz upgraded mine not too long ago..like 3 weeks ago..

depending on ur luck...but for myself and a lot of others here, they gave a new modem..mine comes with a splitter too..i tink its because its a whole package in the streamyx-in-a-box thingy that the technician brought to my place...and yes, the rate is following cooluni.

I get a new free modem too. Brand ZyXEL, wireless router with 4 ports. Somemore it comes with warranty.

if you have upgraded your package that mean you need sign the package for 2 years and cannot terminate in two years time?

yeap!!!..mine comes with a 4 port too..used to be just 1 port for the Riger brand.

dunno bout the contract part..but the price is so attractive that i dun mind to extend it for another 5 years. the package has expire for almost 2 years dy and i dun see any more attractively priced package till now...or ever..since there's ONLY 1 monopoly in the market.

Yea... your contract will be renew again to another two years starting from the day when you get your new speed...
But I don't really mind for that since I only need to pay RM88 for my 4Mbps which has been served me very well... RM140 vs RM88.. and you got a free netbook some more... nothing much to shout about...

too bad we are not getting another netbook for the upgrade.. would b nice if still can get one more netbook...

for those that are still using the 384kpbs, u can consider upgrading to 512kpbs, then 2 years later 1M..then 2 years later 4M...all at the cheap cooluni rate.

u mean nowadays?.. then shud sign up again for the netbook.. cos for most, the contract is almost expiring..then terminate the existing ones, and sign up again..AND get another netbook FOC!!!

I was told by the staff over the TM point counter that the contract will be continuation of previous 1 instead of another 2 years contract.
