This kind of thing won;t happen as the electronic parts are well tested. Won;t melt so easily except kia sourced it from unknown dealer

most of the time the only problem likely to occur is when the fuse is blown. thats all. and for other electronic problem because of wiring being tempered with 3rd party stuff.

The possibility to melt down would be very low, as the material usually can sustain quite high temperature.
But there would be possibility it would cause condensation at the circuit board .. as the environment is hot in the morning/afternoon with low humidity level and cold in the night with high humidity.

Coz for the first service Naza charge us the parts (engine oil + oil filter) with free labour. Honda instead, charge the labour only but the parts are free (for the 1st service) wink.gif

it will be cheaper if using labor charge in SC for example.

every 5K for mineral = rm60
every 10k for mineral = rm60X2 = rm120

every 10K for fully synthetic = rm60

so every 10K u'll pay double service charge if using mineral.

mineral change every 5K.
Full syn change every 10K.

every service change oil filter...
My question is can the oil filter last 10K?

I believe full syn oil better protect our engine with minimum wear & tear compared with mineral.
just assume that full syn is fragrance rice and mineral is local low grade rice.
hahaha

errr.. should able to last 10K lah.. coz using fully synthetic ma..

later someone ask.. if oil filter can last until 10K.. why we must change at 5K (for mineral)?

again. it depends on what engine oil that u use.. hehehe.. just use my assumption lorr.. correct me if wrong...

now it's july. about 7-8 months since launch and i can see more forte on the roads now.

what is the general feedback of CBU vs CKD Forte?
is there really a significant difference in the quality of parts and assembly?

is there any part (or spec.) that has been changed? i.e. parts sourced locally now instead of from Korea?

Added on July 24, 2010, 9:55 amwill parking under the hot sun from morning until sunset makes the windscreen crack? dashboard area change colour?

Added on July 24, 2010, 10:04 amwhen talking about increase of car price, normally how long before a car maker increase it? after 1 year from launch or during the next face lift?

what is the justification for the increase? because it has started CKD for forte? hence more work for local workers rather than just import as CBU?
