If the Desire HD is not at least SLCD, then it will be a marketing disaster. I myself for sure will not accept a TFT Desire HD. I think many others will have the same feeling especially current Desire owners who are considering to upgrade to HD. Downgrading from Amoled to SLCD already not sound nice, can't accept at all if the Desire HD screen be downgraded further to TFT.

That link is by a user that copied the official video and uploaded it again.
The actual official link is now disabled, and you cannot find the Desire HD video anymore in the HTC youtube channel, which means that they have brought it down PERHAPS because of a mistake in the video. My only hope is that its not because of the SLCD

So far no official confirmation yet (not shown in official website), as a potential buyer, definitely i hope that it is SLCD.
However, the original version, Evo4G is confirm TFT. So far no 4.3" SLCD yet...

We all hope so, but the only one official confirmation is now in doubt. Many people that seen the actual unit said that there is a difference in terms of display betwen the Desire Z and Desire HD, and pointed out that the HD's display looks less attractive. Lets just hope that the final production unit will have SLCD.

Yes so far there is no 4.3" SLCD, but there is 3.7" SLCD used in original Desire.

Awwwww man I'm lusting for this phone. A dev did a benchmark on it and scored 2000+ in Quadrant! That is damn fast! And that 4.3 inch screen, gaming and videos on that thing is gonna be superb. Anybody want to donate me one? Lol.

Read someone did a benchmark and scored roughly ~55fps on neocore... About the same score as Galaxy S... Which is quite good

i think the screen is not SLCD because they cant get the 4.3" in SLCD..so far all SLCD only available on 3.7"

It stated using AMOLED technology, HTC stated that they make SLCD based on Samsung AMOLED. Could it be custom-made SLCD that is not from Sony?

i believe it's gonna be tft lcd only..

even it is LCD like HD2,
is it really that bad that could make buyers to forget about all the other improvements and new tech in Desire HD?
