Well put =D. In the end, both phones are good in their own ways. A more well rounded phone with good UI, compared to a hardware beast, with slighly lesser UI (altho, with time, the mod community will surely improve on it, for example the lagfix). Whatever it is, i am glad that more and more Android choices are coming out. A phone that can be the best of both world (power users, and the casual users), and giving the iphone a run for its money.
With time, as the Android OS gets more polished, i feel that it'll beat iOS. The current pro's of the iOS is just its fluidity, and large app base. Both which Android is getting closer to match. Speed is getting better, apps count are getting larger (cause more devs are realising the growth potential of Android and trying to milk its user base

) , and on top all of that, have so much flexibility.
All this bodes not well for iOS, unless of course, Apple realises their drawbacks and starts to open up iOS.
Totally agree...now waiting HTC to launch it with reasonable price

The DHD is the GSM version of the EVO4G with some minor enhancements =.= not a breakthrough product.
I feel the Desire Z is more breakthrough than the DHD. Currently its the top GSM keyboarder. Keyboard, SLCD, balance proc+gpu, new sense, 1.5GB ROM. Although once Milestone comes out it'll give HTC a run for its money.
And if Samsung decides to bring a GSM flavour of Epic4G, then spec wise it might take the crown.
But in all honesty, HTC product never tries to beat in all spec wise. They set themselves apart with their software and UI. When you say HTC, straight away you'll think of the Sense, the modding and hacking community, and its superb build quality. These 3 items are synonymous with HTC. Now with the latest Sense, you get more widgets, you get precached maps, and you get to use their Sense tracking service in case your phone got stolen. Tell me which company offers all of that? Service to track your handphone, or remote wipe your data, once it get stolen. All these softwares is what sets HTC apart, not ultra high specs. And sometimes, its these software improvements that makes your daily usage of it much more practical.
Of course if they were to put ultra high specs, they'll slaughther the competition, but at the same time, the price of product will skyrocket. You cant have super good software and super good hardware and not expect it to price close to a gajililon dollar

btw, any idea that the htcsense.com service is free? apple has similar but need to pay
