IMO, android apps doesnt support high resolution screen yet like Galaxy Tab..have a look at Google search widget in Galaxy Tab,it never fit the screen(4 x 4 only)
thats why the tablet for android still early for now...
true indeed, the Tegra 2 tablet from Lenovo i guess is not android market supported. Google quoted back saying that the current 2.2 only supports up to 854x480 (not sure actual in droid, droidx but its 8xx X 480). That is why its useless for them to bring out higher res phone for now on android. Soon hopefully will when android supports higher res

That the different
800x400 for 4" (SGS)
800x400 for 4.3" (DHD)
960x640 for 3.5" (IP4)
Dont htc realize ab it?
Added on September 19, 2010, 1:10 pmActually would like to wait for DroidX...but they said exclusively in US...
They do realize it but do people realize that android does not support high res? Not all for sure. Such higher res android phone cant support current standard apps. Android market support is removed from the Lenovo tablet. That is why people are saying that its useless for now to use that tablet. No market? Not everyone would root, some prefer stock. Out of the box shows the 1st impression.

Didn't a GPU will also increase the battery usage too? Doubt the battery life of Desire HD will improve
QSD8255 is an upgrade from QSD8250. Perhaps it will only drain the same power. They wont build something which will drain more. Technology improvements comes in a wide scope. Surely they took note on the power. Even on cortex A9 which is the dual core coming out soon, it will run at 1.2-1.5Ghz above but it has a higher power efficiency. When it uses a lower nanometer chip, it will have less silicone packing, better heat distribution, faster cooling rate and etc. QSD8255 is a slight improvement over QSD8250 so we will see benefits from it surely. Dont worry too much. I guess it wont be get worse compared to HTC Desire's 1ghz snapdragon
U are surely correct about the battery life improvement but it wont be worse.. (i hope too on this.. LOL)

cannot compare snapdragon with hummingbird leh....
I see that hummingbird is a leap in android phones. It has more codec support and media playback power. When it it bundled up with PowerVR SGX540, it is deadly indeed. The 90million triangle persecond said by them perhaps is true afterall. Its the games which does not come on par yet with the hardware.
Another thing to consider is real usage performance and how apps/games take advantage. Ive said earlier to u that SGS wont be a letdown and will be wont be easily outdated isnt it? Its the games and apps now which is not fully taking advantage of the total ability of the phone. Day by day more dev port over to android iPhone high end games and I bet when some higher end games come out, SGS surely will run it smoothly still thanks to its hardware.
