Maybe at the time you are checking the level of Programs memory you have programs running/minimised which eats RAM ma. Wen you soft reset you are freeing all the used memory so it bounces back to the normal allocated figure. If you want to free RAM without soft reseting Mini you could use the Oxios Hibernate program which was posted in this forum few pages back or use DinarSoft MemMaid lor... Tap the icon on Today screen and it tells you how much it has freed for you.
