Well, got different version of package for linux distros ...as per what prasys explained, some of it might have incompatibilities with the other but still can work

The thing is that at times linux is fuzzy about which verison , you can have many versions of the exact same thing. A good example is java , you could have two versions of java installed on your PC. The latest one and an earlier one as well. Its just to fullfil requirements of some program which may have been coded using older verison .


DirectX does this by having DX9 , DX10 and DX11 frameworks so all the latest games can still able to access the new stuff and older games can continue to use their old framework

Okay lah , to be honest with you it gets hot. In Windows its not the best , if you guys want i can post the temps. I am sure your BenQ temps are far lower then this. In Windows to be honest it completely sucks when comes to power management.

Those with S41 or benq with 9600gt - seriously try OSX. I am not joking. May have to change wifi card. The other option that i would like to share if you guys want to know is how to sniff traffic in the air. Like if you're in a hotspot , you can sniff on what other people are doing and other things.

always wanted to do that on my laptop, heck, always busy with things around me... ATi graphic + Atheros adapter look like good hardware to get started...

Basically apple has not made any mobility ati graphics for the macbook pro since the first generation. So its impossible to get Mobility versions to work. Desktop versions do work fine.

Your netbook , if it only uses N2xx + Intel GMA 9xx that would be pretty good. Dell Mini 10v is a good HacBook Air candidate or MSI Wind U100 !

how bout dell sxps 16? possible for hackintosh? for hp mini 210?

My Benq s41 got GPU problem and I got 2 options to repair:

1. Contacted Benq Shah Alam HQ, they said maybe the claim for s41 still available although warranty over, but need to send it by this week. My lappy already change HDD and RAM, summore keyboard missing 2 buttons. I not sure they can accept this for free replacement or not.

2. Send for repair by local shops, however the repair is not guaranteed and this will void the chance to get replacement from Benq.

What should I do?

gma950.. eh... not sure hp mini 210 using gma 950 or not.. atom n200 only or atom n200 and above?
send to benq shah alam there.. as long is gpu problem, they gonna fix it free for u.. and ur keyboard missing 2 keys thingy, they will quote u a price to fix it, but u can tell them no need to fix when they give u the quotation.. i've been there before.. fixed my s41 also.. totally free

erm... graphic card problem better to let BenQ people handle... iirc there's no difference with voiding your warrenty if the warrenty period is over. The S41 cause its the 8600 chip itself defective la... so probably they will change, quite a few users changed their gc already...

The reason why Atom N4xx cannot is that the GPU itself is part of the CPU. Its much like how Core i series works. Thats why you have switchable graphics card. The GPU is in the CPU itself , in one chip. You can get N4xx + NVIDIA graphics and it would work

the hp mini 210 can run OSX , but again you dont get hardware accelerated graphics. Good way to test OSX though but does not give you its full power
