I recently went and asked around for a pressurized Co2 system here in Kuala Terengganu.

The only LFS selling it does the exchange system, that means you don't get to refill your tank but you have to exchange an empty one for a full one, where it'll cost you RM45 for the 'refill' of a 2 kg tank.

And you start buy purchasing a manual regulator and a 2nd hand 2kg co2 tank for the price of RM200.

What I want to know is it worth it??? icon_question.gif hmm.gif

I have a 3L tank I am letting go at rm 250 and also a regulator (unmetered type - really basic type) for rm 30, that is rm 280 in total, if u think it is worthwhile, you can get it from me, refill in KL is rm 40 per 3L, you can ask fire extinguisher company to refill since rm 45 per 2L is very expensive.

If you want to, I can re-load it for you if you can arrange a pick up

there's something u need to understand. here's a pictorial diagram to aid my explanation:

user posted image

if u look carefully. this is an elaborate version regulator. some are slightly simpler.
note that all the parts actually independent and can also be changed idependantly in the event of any malfunction.

things that are holding all the parts together are somply pneumatic fittings..

so, if only the solenoid valve is leaking, then u can actually change the solenoid valve only. that looks like this without the fittings:

user posted image

u dun have to change the whole thing.. it's just matter of knwing where to look for the parts. maybe i can help.

But. if i'm the one who's mistaken and u knew all this already doh.gif, then sorry la...

perhaps it can be useful to those who dun know it yet... tongue.gif

Oh, and also. u can always incorperate a solenoid valve with the simple gaugeless regulator to make it canggih. Again, u just need a separate solenoid valve and a few pneumatic fittings.. drool.gif

I'm trimming... Last time algae a lot so threw a lot away already tongue.gif , and the red one just got it a month ago, so not many stems. Waiting for them to grow a bit more taller, then will trim and replant all at once biggrin.gif

But seems like my tank hardly got any place left to plant them sad.gif

I'm also waiting for the Hygrophila to grow taller and cover the leggy part, especially the rotala, cause the bottom part don't just get leggy, it becomes black also dry.gif wacko.gif

bro ask the lfs near ur place la bro for any contact where they refill their oxygen tank... because, these small gas refilling company's operate refilling larger tanks for industries.. all those MIG welding(CO2), TIG welding(Argon), Oxy(oxygen and acetylene). usually they will go to the company and just exchange the canister. similar to how we use house cooking gas canister.. but these are usually 25 L tanks..

or u can even go to a welding shop nearby and ask them where/who refill their gas..

but once u get their phone number and find their address, i'm sure they'll be able to refill it for u if u go there urself.. but inquire first..

Seem like the whole regulator got leaks.. do you have any source for the cheap solenoid regulator?
