yes i used to be in a very strong NA ls but we have around 5 JP member that time, the ls is so big that we needed 4 pearls to maintain, each pearl are represent for something. timezone are mostly base on whole day depends on that day. what is "once outside their guild they can't do anything?"

Nyzul wasn't really called raid, and Nyzul is really easy and it can be done on "pug" (pick up group), for events like Nyzul we usually just post up ls chat checking who is interest n if no one is interest will just check friendlist, only do "pug" as last alternative coz truthfully, we don't really want to screw up things although we don't really mind ww. there is no who gears best who in or ls leader choose who he want bullshit w.. we dont choose who n who, you up you get point, stuff drop, priority point persons lot. fair n square,  simple as that.

People also can do shout for only camping Fatnir/Nidhogg why not Nyzul, n it actually went pretty well. I done this with a temporary so call HNMLS with almost 16+ jp members and 2 members from NA. I joined for fun and the LS was up till everyone get the stuff they lot for. I still remember the LS leader was a JP, and we only use the translation try to communicate. luckily it went well ^^ i even went to some of their dynamis run as guest.. got few good stuff from it.

seriously, base on what you guys reply, you all just scare with favouritism, am i right? actually i really dunno how to explain this w, my relationship with the ls member also start from 0. i also dunno who n who are them, most of them are also real life friend. i'm like the only asian people in the whole ls w. tho they're asian but they live in na. we also work very hard on exping, camping pop item, help out this n that. too many to tell. tho most of us quit, we still chat around saying hi.

i seen alot of up and fall on every major end-game ls, not just NA.. it happen on JP ls as well. it's really depends on how you see things. just relax ^^ w that's why i said a good leadership is very extremely important in one ls. you got a good leader then you're set.

me n my gf just really just want to play with more m'sian, coz after all will have more people to play at night time coz she work n i don't. if u guys are setting up a new ls, hopefully we can be in a same world so we can apply to join in. ^^ why i am recruiting people mainly becoz well my ls had pretty good foundation to start with + we can play together with other region people. never afraid of not enough people to team up. i don't really like "pug" except no choice.

i always believe a weak players can be improve coz if someone can do it why not others? our ls rarely gives up on weak players, it all depends on whether you can accept people advise. always good to discuss strategy beforehand n this is for very small events such as exping or on a quest. events such as dynamis, or killing hnm, you are require to follow what officer ask you to do, coz your officer are the main guy who will responsible for everythin n report to ls leader for that events. i dunno how to explain here. we can accept mistake but if you keep repeating the same mistake again n again n put the whole alliance in jeopardy, then good luck www ^^ i do take a person attitude highly coz to prevent drama happening tho i know this is very hard to escape. we never had a drama on item dropping due coz everyone need to accept the point system.

so excited ^^ coz ffxiv is so close to release date, feel like xtc n nightmare for me ^^

u see, i like ur way of thinking which is positive.. i would love to join but only for casual play; pt lvling, instance run that only take 1 to 2 hrs of time, chit-chatting and so on.. but if u're searching members who are to give full commitment for endgame (hardcore), killing last boss/hidden boss that takes a vast amount of time, then im sorry im not the one, BUT, i might be the one lol.. if not, add me in ur list then biggrin.gif

Hmm, assuming that we are in a same server, i might join your LS smile.gif but not your Company xD as I already have my friends in another Company

p/s : yes there is LinkShell and there is Company in it... Company are bigger than LinkShells tend to be. and we can have both since LS is more toward socials parties than Company that are dedicated guilds.

LinkShells : Social Group
Company : Giant/Guild Group.

Most people just not happy with favouritism instead of scare, or we can call it "unfair" sometime. Only few people can take it positive, it is like u are as hard working/good as B, but boss give B more salary because B is a relative or boss like him more, i think most people will feel unhappy with it, only few will say i am happy as long as boss pay me the salary that he promised me. We learn to accept favouritism, then ignore it or leave it(if got choice) because it is a human being.

From above reply i saw these events/activities like camped NM, pt-ed, missions, battlefields, raid etc were mostly did with LS/guild members or friendlist, that's what i mean "once outside their guild they can't do anything". Let say today NA want to do mission or battlefield, he have to check LS website to see if today got such event, if not then ask LS members who is currently online, still not enough members then seek friendlist help. People may got other plan like want to gain exp or other excuse unable to help, for a big LS with 30-50 members online all the time, it is still possible to get enough people to make a team, in case of a small ls with 6-10 members then... ahem.... My question is, there are hundreds of players in town who want to do same battlefield or mission, why NA not just shout like JP who able to make a team within 3 minutes rather than spend 1 hour to ask and wait LS members or give up finally. After joined a few NA shout team i might have some conclusions.

Anyway, i am still confusing that where do u live and which region prime time u play? It doesn't matter that JP LS got NA member like i said earlier, they are very friendly once they know u/become friend though a few members still dislike attendance of non-japanese-speaking people. However, if u send a tell to strange JP wish to join their team, let say the most basic and simple exp team, not matter how friendly u are, he will probably reply with translator like [i'm sorry] [english, no thanks].

There's no problem at all for english-speaking asian who plan to play at NA prime time, for those who cant speak japanese but have to play at JP prime time, how are u u going to survive in the environment of 90% players are japanese and most of them have bad impression with english-speaking players? Can the rest 10% players enough to build a strong guild/friendlist which they have to count on for everything? When there is conflict of personality within the only one LS where can we go else? Of course this is just a game, may be we should just take it easy and see how things go later or try do something.

FFonline is one of the rare global server MMORPG with some critical issue that doesn't exist in region server MMORPG, i think we need to clarify difference of environment/culture between JP and NA prime time.

first of all i stay in jb, my prime time playing were day & night, maybe not every night. was there a NA prime time n JP prime time? how you differ it? ^^ w

well i don't really quite understand what u try to tell me but, it seem like you have problem playing at ffxi where you get alot of jp only things along with looking for people for quest and mission.

my ffxi pt exping (only) i don't really sit n wait for people to shout only to get into a group, i build my own group, maybe there was like a couple of us who want to exp now, i will just do a shout or check out the people who is seeking, if you want a jp guy to join your group at least get a couple jp inside so they don't really get bored. sometimes i get reply with jp only, and i will reply them there is a couple jp members inside n they usually will say yes to u coz if they still jp only to u.. it's their lost w.. i don't really care.

for mission and quest, we will try to get most of english speaking people coz we need discuss strategy unless the jp dude is dead sure know what his/her role. that's why you can see jp people tend to pick up jp people for quest/mission only. everytime you see a shout in the jp msg, they usually stated at what time, what date so they not really make the pt right away except for exping. i met alot of NA bad seed... but not really all NA were that bad.. there is still alot of good one out there.

for us, yup everyone can post small events at forum, stated date and time. this is jsut to let everyone know in advance so they can prepare. only big events are decide by that event leader, usually it is done in weekends, sat & sun. i got talk with my friends about my intention on this forum recruiting more gmt+8 people into the ls. if we can come out with more members from asian, we will probably set up big events that is more friendly time for asian region, n for those people who on na region who able to make it, just hop in.

i dunno but seems like some of u having some really trying to enjoy ffxi. don't let the past haunt u w.. i think ffxiv will be more easier game than ffxi. some of my frens are currently in the beta, from their feedback it is very quite a different game but.. we all dunno the end-game yet ^^

if you have conflict with the people in the ls, you can take it out n talk openly, what's the problem. if you don't like this guy or got big problem, treated unfair or what then just leave the ls, what kind of attitude is that? ^^ or you said being kick out by ls, come on.. if you doing something when everyone think it is wrong and try not to change, how you expect us to help u? secondly we rarely kick people out of the ls, it is just a rule to protect the ls from breaking up. we ultimately don't want an ass-hole in a ls. so before you even join, you oledi scare this n that.. ww in all respect, how you gonna success in life? ^^ everything need to take risk only to know the outcome, just take is as an experience. this is like in real life, you go to work, you don't like your workplace, just quit and find another one. ^^

i'm actually trying to combine another ls which is more casual to play together but this is yet final. my plan was to this ls the strongest NA ls around. we still dunno who going to take the most undesirable position (main ls leader) but will soon to know. it will be voted by all the officer when the ls is in final. events leader will be decide after 70% of the ls members rdy for eng-game. we have people who will work on point system now and still experiencing a better point system, n still looking for people to make a forum as the old one is dead. remember this is not yet an official end-game ls due to when we play we still need to exping this n that, doing quest n mission. i'm just trying to give you all a picture what our ls will be or sharing my ls experience which i think every ls should be in the end-game.

i don't really care much about this game, but to be able going back playing again with friends on a game we all likes, that is just awesome. this is how i want to be for you n me. i know everyone have their own time n stuff like that, it is unavoidable. that's why i'm trying to gather more people to play so we don't really have to cling on each other.

actually i rather hope, at least, in this forum we can make a m'sian group up first. coz looking at the list, still not a bad list ww. ^^One people who is interest to join my ls, you can pm me first. as for details, i will sort it out n e-mail back to u when close to the release date.

Nowadays I prefer to xping solo in FFXI, I don't LFP or accept invite to party. I'm so happy soloing xp because I get off from pc anytime or take a rest and read manga for 5 mins or so, I'm not that casual player. If I like the game so much I play it 15hours or so a day. So when I play FFXIV I probably soloing all the time but yet I prefer to be in chatty LS, making jokes, talking about silly stuffs sometimes and with full of dramas.

I did not sleep well, though my bed was comfortable enough, for I had all sorts of queer dreams. There was a dog howling all night long under my window, which may have had something to do with it; or it may have been the paprika, for I had to drink up all the water in my carafe, and was still thirsty. Towards morning I slept and was wakened by the continuous knocking at my door, so I guess I must have been sleeping soundly then. I had for breakfast more paprika, and a sort of porridge of maize flour which they said was ‘mamaliga,’ and egg-plant stuffed with forcemeat, a very excellent dish, which they call ‘impletata.’ (Mem., get recipe for this also.) I had to hurry breakfast, for the train started a little before eight, or rather it ought to have done so, for after rushing to the station at 7.30 I had to sit in the carriage for more than an hour before we began to move. It seems to me that the further East you go the more unpunctual are the trains. What ought they to be in China?

All day long we seemed to dawdle through a country which was full of beauty of every kind. Sometimes we saw little towns or castles on the top of steep hills such as we see in old missals; sometimes we ran by rivers and streams which seemed from the wide stony margin on each side of them to be subject to great floods. It takes a lot of water, and runningstrong, to sweep the outside edge of a river clear. At every station there were roups of people, sometimes crowds, and in all sorts of attire. Some of them were just like peasants at home or those I saw coming through France and Germany, with short jackets and round hats and home-made trousers; but others were very picturesque. The women looked pretty, except when you got near them, but they were all very clumsy about the waist. They had all full white sleeves of some kind or other, and most of them had big belts with a lot of strips of something fluttering from them like the dresses in a ballet, but of course petticoats under them. The strangest figures we saw were the Slovaks, who are more barbarian than the rest, with their big cowboy hats, great baggy dirty-white trousers, white linen shirts, and enormous heavy leather belts, nearly a foot wide, all studded over with brass nails.

They wore high boots, with their trousers tucked into them, and had long black hair and heavy black moustaches. They are very picturesque, but do not look prepossessing. On the stage they would be set down at once as some old Oriental band of brigands. They are, however, I am told, very harmless and rather wanting in natural self-assertion. It was on the dark side of twilight when we got to Bistritz, which is a very interesting old place. Being practically on the frontier—for the Borgo Pass leads from it into Bukovina—it has had a very stormy existence, and it certainly shows marks of it. Fifty years ago a series of great fires took place, which made terrible havoc on five separate occasions. At the very beginning of the seventeenth century it underwent a siege of three weeks and lost 13,000 people, the casualties of war proper being assisted by famine and disease.
Count Dracula had directed me to go to the Golden Krone Hotel, which I found, to my delight, to be thoroughly oldfashioned, for of course I wanted to see all I could of the ways of the country. I was evidently expected, for when I got near the door I faced a cheery-looking elderly woman in the
usual peasant dress—white undergarment with long double apron, front and back, of coloured stuff fitting almost too tight for modesty. When I came close she bowed, and said: ‘The Herr Englishman?’ ‘Yes,’ I said, ‘Jonathan Harker.’ She smiled, and gave some message to an elderly man in white shirt-sleeves, who had followed her to the door. He went, but immediately returned with a letter:—

‘My Friend,—Welcome to the Carpathians. I am anxiously expecting you. Sleep well to-night. At three to-morrow the diligence will start for Bukovina; a place on it is kept for you. At the Borgo Pass my carriage will await you and will bring you to me. I trust that your journey from London has been a happy one, and that you will enjoy your stay in my beautiful land.—Your friend, ‘Dracula.’

Yes, thats what I was wondering...
1. Race
2. Class
3. Staring Region/City

Is it going to be easy for us to meet each other if we start at different cities?

I'll definitely be a Lalafell Dunesfolk Conjurer from Limsa Lominsa.

may i know which class is the healer? from what i see all are damage/curse class?

and for armour, is there stats requirement for them?

can u wear clothing rather then armor on our exterior??

and if i am not wrong armour & weapon will break after prolong use. will it be able to repair on the field or must we go back town?? i know there is a crystal that ppl will gather to do quest. can we repair/restock there?

Both can be healing class, this is the unique part where you can mix and match the skills that you've learn when you level up, you will get some healing skills/buff and so on from those two Magic class smile.gif and you can mix them as long you have your action points filled up smile.gif

so is both Conjurer and Thaumaturge can heal party members and self. ofcourse once you've learn the skill, you can apply them onto melee fighter >:O

Only Rank requirements, this game have two type of levels, that is Rank level and Physical level, major part of the game involve on your Rank level, so items and such are base on your Class Rank.

Depend on the class. From what i know now, (may change later) If your Discipline of hand class meet the requirement to repair, you may repair on the spot smile.gif and is much better to repair on your own then having NPCs to repair. The benefit is much more better. All equipments has it own requirements like Swords need Blacksmith to repair, Hora(Knuckles) need leatherworks to repair, Staff need Carpenter to repair and stuff wink.gif

Also you need to rank up your class in order to repair higher level of equipments, say you hit RANK 20, you can repaired rank 20~25 or 29 equipments wink.gif

Although this information may seem not valid upon release, but you may take this a hint on how the crafting, gathering, battle system is.
