QUOTE(darkskies @ Aug 1 2010, 12:06 AM) Teaming up isn't a problem. Most important is the exp and pt members limit. like the major people in our ls, we have been together 6 years, don't really have problem with that. we're now at least 26-40 in term of age w. tho they live in the states but most of them are asian. we have around 30-40 members for now n still recruiting n things are looking good so far.I've been in multiple ls before run by NA folks. None of them worked well and dramas begin when we start distributing gears. The dramas that happened were more amusing then a heated argument between 12yr old kids XD. @Juine u've better be careful on this because they had somesort of kinship award going around in the linkshell. in a ls, there is bound to have a bad apple, it just lies on ls officer leadership. sometimes i even have some dispute with other officer, but we never left for each other.. n usually will be fine after a cooldown time. we don't hold grudge for each other. tho i'm recruiting members from lowyat, or any new members that interest to join, he/she will put under observation for a period of times. running few events, checking his attitude n skill which we took at priority. we take friendship very deep, umm dunno how to explain. as for the very bad players with bad attitude, we will just kindly ask him to leave the ls w. simple as that. if you respect our point system, no drama then. to earn respect from people u also need to respect people first. to prove yourself worthy, you need to work hard on it ^^ on occasion, when we have some major problem, we will hold up for meeting to discuss a matter where everyone can come up with a decision. for us, i dunno how about u guys .. but linkshell for us is like a family w ^^ this is opinion how every success ls should be, and most other ls i know are also the same. sometimes we even have alliance with other ls to do some great thing which i really enjoy. i run a good guild in wkc w, i choose my member carefully and my wkc guild are following me to join us in ffxiv w. it will be a major blast. |

U have a good ls and a trustworthy ls members i see there. For my case being hardworking had nv been an issue.in a ls, there is bound to have a bad apple, it just lies on ls officer leadership. sometimes i even have some dispute with other officer, but we never left for each other.. n usually will be fine after a cooldown time. we don't hold grudge for each other. tho i'm recruiting members from lowyat, or any new members that interest to join, he/she will put under observation for a period of times. running few events, checking his attitude n skill which we took at priority. we take friendship very deep, umm dunno how to explain. as for the very bad players with bad attitude, we will just kindly ask him to leave the ls w. simple as that. if you respect our point system, no drama then. to earn respect from people u also need to respect people first. to prove yourself worthy, you need to work hard on it ^^ on occasion, when we have some major problem, we will hold up for meeting to discuss a matter where everyone can come up with a decision. for us, i dunno how about u guys .. but linkshell for us is like a family w ^^ this is opinion how every success ls should be, and most other ls i know are also the same. sometimes we even have alliance with other ls to do some great thing which i really enjoy. i run a good guild in wkc w, i choose my member carefully and my wkc guild are following me to join us in ffxiv w. it will be a major blast. If going 18-20/7 basis(for more then a year) isn't hardworking enough, i believe only npc could fufill such critieria. They don't sleep, eat or logoff. Things nv worked up right for my situation. I've climbed through couple of ls and they all dibanded just because a single bad apple contaminated the rest to launch a mutiny. I've left ls before without getting a single gear after working in there for half a year. U might think i'm way to serious but after geting urself through so much shyts, they just disband on u wouldn't be a good one. There are even seniors who actually favored among each other by pimping among themselves. No grudges or hitting any ideas against ur ls. I'm lookin foward to it also and hoping that it won't worked out like what i've experienced. |

This sound like a typical strong NA LS...(is it a NA timezone based LS?)in a ls, there is bound to have a bad apple, it just lies on ls officer leadership. sometimes i even have some dispute with other officer, but we never left for each other.. n usually will be fine after a cooldown time. we don't hold grudge for each other. tho i'm recruiting members from lowyat, or any new members that interest to join, he/she will put under observation for a period of times. running few events, checking his attitude n skill which we took at priority. we take friendship very deep, umm dunno how to explain. as for the very bad players with bad attitude, we will just kindly ask him to leave the ls w. simple as that. if you respect our point system, no drama then. to earn respect from people u also need to respect people first. to prove yourself worthy, you need to work hard on it ^^ on occasion, when we have some major problem, we will hold up for meeting to discuss a matter where everyone can come up with a decision. for us, i dunno how about u guys .. but linkshell for us is like a family w ^^ this is opinion how every success ls should be, and most other ls i know are also the same. sometimes we even have alliance with other ls to do some great thing which i really enjoy. i run a good guild in wkc w, i choose my member carefully and my wkc guild are following me to join us in ffxiv w. it will be a major blast. Sometime i feel weird with those strong NA LS/guild , they have top gear/weapon or first LS defeat the No.1 Boss in game, but once outside of their guild they can't do anything. For example in FFXI there was a raid called "Nyzul", JP just shouted or joined in the town and got full members in 3 minutes, these TOP NA LS have to arrange time with their LS members and don't forget that everyone have different living. In addition nyzul is restricted to 6 members only, LS leader will tend to choose members with better gears or his closed friend, the rest members have to wait second or third rounds if leader still willing to help or they make their own team, each round usually take 2-3 months to complete. Of course this may happen in JP LS too, but JP players got alternative choice that many shout in town they could just grab and join one or shout by themselves. My advise is go to an environment that u could communicate with as many people as possible rather than the only LS/guild/community u know. It is impossible to let everyone like us or to like everyone even if we have try our best, someday when there is conflict of personality in LS, we decide or asked to leave because we are less-important people eg not an event organizer, at least we can still find other LS or play with many other players even without LS, which is also more convenient and flexible for people who unable to make commitment. |

You have build with your current LS members - how do see newer members? Are you willing to sit down and teach the newbies? Remember some of us here will be NEW to the whole genre of MMOs. You guys have been together for a long time and are comfortable with a mind set. Are you willing to break away from your mind set with newer players? Do you think the newer players will be pressured to be always "observed?" I sadly dont belong to any "groups" atm because my attitude very different - my goals and such are not shared among my peers. I'm not your usual sit down and shut up kinda guy. This post has been edited by gaeryn: Aug 4 2010, 10:24 AM |

Got enough of playing like a mad lunatic in my previous MMO. Oh well, I guess I just play and go with the flow since this game will not be too PVP oriented |
