Try buying a product from let's say sold in SG. Register yourself in the US for extended warranty... Guess what, no luck...

Try Buying a MMOG US edition... Then subsequently buy a EU expansion... too bad, that didn't work in FFXI and I highly doubt that works in FFXIV

My point is this. How many registered in square enix for beta. If they want to keep that account, they can buy that particular version and register.
If a person has a US version but a UK account, would that be a problem? hell no!
Just reopen another US version...

maybe can keep all the gils from the beta lol? idk i personally dont find any use for the beta account after release thats y i gave one to shojikun.

currently the worst issue is the billing. Credit card onry due to the secure code problem. Unless u can get a debit card frm the US.

If u scare of SECURE CODE do not get the US version of the game, only US version has secure code implemented, ps3 version will probably lack secure code due to limitation.

SE only add secure code because of new law for online gaming.

Actually i preordered both US and UK CE. I wanted US because of the journal XD for UK i wanted the map lol... So shudn't be a problem with the billing. But most pple are getting US version so that'll be the main issue

hmm yes... it seems that the bill payment is an issue to those who does not own a credit card guess ima going to import from amazon.co.uk @_@ if they can send it... that is.. ><

U'll probably have to get some parcel forwarding services. Though Lyn had alot of pple providing those services but they charge very high and worse of all... will it be delivered to u punctually is another question.
Usually i get parcel forwarding services directly from UK sites instead of going thru LYN folks. Because when ur parcel got stopped by custom, this lyn dudes doesn't help u to clear it. They are charging u more then those UK parcel forwarding sites and worst of all they don't really control how fast the parcel gets to u. What they'll do is say they don't have power thru such situation. So in the end, u are paying higher price to this lyn dudes and yet u can pay a cheaper rate to those UK dudes. Yea one thing i do know, it'll lessen the shipping rates. But if u calculate the original rates to how this fella charges with handling fee, it doesn't really make a difference in the end.

Hum.... noob here, i don't understand why secure code be a big problem here?

In Final Fantasy FFXI NA version they Implemented 3D-Secure to register your Credit Card (CC) to make payments.

If you are using Visa card it called Verified by VIsa and if you are using Mastercard they called it MasterCard SecureCode. You have to register this when you try to key in your CC in Playonline (FFXI program to manage you payment and etc). Even though you can register any credit card from any country. When you register you personal Information in Playonline, your address will be always in US. and cannot change. So unfortunately I register myself living in Rawang USA .. lol.

Some credit card have problem in registering, for my experience is my Maybank Visa CC.

Successfully register card was my MBF mastercard, but I have turn my name on card e.g.: Kassim Baba and write in the registration form as Baba Kassim. Then process was accepted.

simple if u dont have secure code or like malaysia credit card where secure code mostly dont work with final fantasy xi = U CAN'T PLAY ><!!
