perhaps, with the shorter redline nature of diesel engine and 470nm of torque, it will allow for gear change at 1k rpm laugh.gif
again, not sure how reliable it will be when running on our diesel grade...

Santa Fe has great specs with incredible price. Unfortunately, it is Korean and don't expect good after sales support or good resale value.

Best to buy as used (1 to 2 years) than new.

Try this... after Vector.

1. At traffic lights, shift gear to L.
2. Use left foot on brake.
3. Accelerate to 2500 rpm.
4. When u feel the truck want to move, release left foot slowly and feel the rear wheel spin with white smoke.
5. Few seconds later, release left foot and let truck go until 4500 rpm before shifting back to D.

All those Ah Beng Wiralution will stay away from u like a plague.

kinda hard to 'touge' with d-max 3.0. too much of bodyroll tongue.gif
a lighter wheels of 17" (oz 4wd) and lower suspension + harder spring will be fine.
anyone can recommend a good tire size upgrade for d-max?

I am looking to rent the front and rear bumpers of Ford Ranger XLT(SZCW) Year 2001 with Yellow Signal light.

Puspakom failed the inspection due to ARB Bumpers.

If you know anyone who is willing to rent these bumpers for 3-4 days. Please let me know

Thanks in advance

IMO, underpowered for a 2.5 model. If 3.0, better but pay more road tax.

I noticed that actually. Especially when going uphill. Very significant. But i will used it for long range travel.

The 4x4 i plan to buy is actually 2.5G (M). Anyone know how much exactly its road tax gona be? And maintenance as well well.

Road tax is around RM 840 per year (estimated) and maintenance approx RM 3k per year depending on mileage (up to 20000km). This is not inclusive diesel which around RM 6k per year (RM 500 per month for 2500km)

Wah, what kind of serious maintenance are you carrying out there [in the first few years]? Average of ~1k per year (10000km interval x2), buying engine oil in 18L tubs saves a lot of money on the oil. Even factoring in tyres I think its around 1.2k per year, regular oil change cost 400 in SC, tyres average ~70k km so not too bad on the pocket.
