QUOTE(phanisher14 @ Mar 28 2015, 12:25 PM) You stay in landed or high rise? If high rise the supply will be more stable due to they have voltage stabilizer where else landed I dont think owner willing to fork out 5-6 figure for that equipment. Landed. Thanks for your answer. So not advisable to use LED eh?

QUOTE(blstzus @ Mar 31 2015, 12:05 AM) Landed. Thanks for your answer. So not advisable to use LED eh? Due to the surge all electrical equipment are not stable. If a good quality electrical product will have surge protection to prolong the lifespan of the product. It apply to all include LED.

QUOTE(fpchan @ Mar 30 2015, 09:32 AM) I've just installed in my new house 2 weeks ago.. (haven's stay in yet). So far it looks good.. Was there at night.. Bright enough for me....It took me a month to decide on this brand.. I bought from a lighting shop in Shah Alam (Focus Light Gallery).. You can look for the owner named Jeffrey for more info but better call him first before going over.. THanks for the info. May i know how much u bought the light? because i contacted U-Li Enterprise and i was shocked with the price they quoted me. (expensiv)

Hi all,
does anyone has experience with normal T5 vs LED T5 ? Does LED T5 also generate as much heat as normal T5? Currently using normal T5 at L Box and feeling warm seating below the L Box. Any comment?

I have around 12 units of T5 in one L box rectangle area, I don't feel the heat when switch on for long hours. This post has been edited by weikee: Apr 6 2015, 11:02 AM

Currently using normal T5 at L Box and feeling warm seating below the L Box. Any comment? Normal Fluorescent T5 of course generate more heat... the light it produces ranges from infra-red (heat) to UV... LED generates a much narrower wave-length within the visible light spectrum. According to this comparison CFL generates 8.8x more heat than a LED: http://www.wcsen.org/Workshops/EnergizeYou..._Comparison.pdfThis post has been edited by BeastX: Apr 6 2015, 11:21 AM

is it because normal T5 with casing cover traps more heat than T5 without casing cover?

Hi guys need some help for my new house renovation.
1) 2" height space enough for those small spot light LED? (http://www.dhgate.com/store/product/led-spotlight-led-ceiling-light-downlight/235209936.html)
2) I am doing L Box (without T5 longkang) but wonder if it is not bright enough to cover 13' x 15' (living hall) and 11' x 10' (dining area) and 9' x 16' (dry kitchen + study corner) square 4" LED
3) LED downlight ok in bathroom? and outdoor balcony ceilling?
Thank you

I plan to install these to my condo :-
1. Living room - ceiling mount lights. 2. Bedrooms - ceiling mount lights 3. Bathroom - small downlights 4. Kitchen - one hanging light
My objective is to keep costs to around RM30 per point. LED.
Any comments ? You think is doable ?
