ahsos vanila 890fx should be ok cosiderin their 880 younger bro did pretty ok. biostar mem oc x cukup uummmpphhh from what i heard. msi 890fx can give gud mileage but performance wise (@ same clock) not as gud as others from what i read few months back. gigabyte ok but expensive too.  hmm.gif

my suggestion: CHIV ftw...  tongue.gif

r u stayin with green camp sis?  icon_idea.gif

What PSU are u using for the 4ghz clock bro? Mind to list out ur pc spec? hmm.gif
IMO u only need a good PSU not necessarily more than 550W & a good chip lah, even last time me & bro 8tvt was able to oc our friend's thuban up to 4ghz on a lowly Silverstone ST50F Essential laugh.gif
*
hmm really? lol I'm having the stupid acbel 510W...trying to fund for better PSU, lol means that my evo sucks big time then...keeps undervolting~

unfortunately no bro, max i reckon is 970~98x * 2 only, but at least my goal is achieved (benchable @ 2k), i can let go of d chip peacefully ledi...  icon_rolleyes.gif
nice temp u got there, my Ven x can't seem to get result as gud as yas. 3.9GHz @ load ledi givin me 61~62'C...  sweat.gif  drop of multi is not due to psu, it's more of "damage control" by d chip itself (temp related), i faced that too on my fren's asus 880. undervolt/overvolt during prime is not something new to ahsos boards, even those of premium grade suffer d same issue as well.   yawn.gif

u can try by removin those unnecessary devices then prime with only 1 hdd, appropriate amount of fan and a low end gfx. correct me if i'm wrong, if it's psu issue, u should see very frequent voltage fluctuation & reboots.  hmm.gif
that's a decent clock ledi sir considerin d volt... do update when u get ya new toys in coolin...  thumbup.gif
again d undervolt/overvolt thingy is caused by d board, not psu imo.  nod.gif
ooouch!!!! i think it mite just be temporary effect, have u tried it on diff rig? all d best & gud luck...  sweat.gif
sellin d chip ledi sir...  cry.gif
*
haha yes it does and reboots/voltage jumps here jumps there, btw i'm using raid 0 so couldn't simply take off my hdd, still funding for CM 1200W Pro Gold....going to play gfx oc soon~
Maybe ven-x black have some improvement haha...

even HTT is not mobo factor eh?
i tot HTT will greatly affected by mobo..
and 450 is way too much... always see max-ing around 36X

and wait..how does he did.. 450mhz ram..what divider eh? ddr2 shakehead.gif shakehead.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

yes HTT greatly affected by the mobo but i think the cooler temperature makes it able to sustain high values(increase in NB volts..etc)

yeah.. since that SS was made with LN2
but even with that cold temp, to clock HTT up that high with a crappy mobo is just awesome to me tongue.gif

1.2kw of psu? u gotta be kiddin me. only hardcore benchers need that... sweat.gif

imo a solid 850watter should be enuf, like corsair/seasonic 80 gold can handle dual gfx w/o any sweat, even those of high end. wink.gif

TR seriously need to learn from their sister company (COGAGE) when it coms to preventin oxidation of cooler, theirs are simply too fast to get oxidized... doh.gif

safe in term of what?

not much i heard if pump the vcore too high then the proc kaboom..
before it happens surely will face the stability issue and later can tweak accordingly..

moral of the story
pump as the proc wish..
