Hi all,

I have no problem with my playonhd. But my problem maybe serious. My wife accidently format the internal HDD. Now my HDD became like the 1st time i format HDD via playon. Is there any chance for me to recover back my data. I tried to recover by using software activeundelete but failed. This software still useful for deleted data. Please help me to recover as much as i can. I will miss my full hd avatar movie a lot. I'm not rich enough to buy bluray disc. Just can afford to download but to redownload all the thing will take a lot of time.

as pointed out, "rips" are usually 2-3gb. there r various types: try those 4-5gb, 8-10gb, 20gb, 45gb.
as a rule, video resolution and audio quality get better with bigger files.
ok, not suppposed to discuss too much such things here. biggrin.gif

mini2 - ensure set to 1080p. tv - always set to max, likely 1080p, 60hz. some prefer to set hdmi auto, but tv might flicker each time it detects a file type change.

3d stuff can't be played on mini2. 2d stuff can be played on pohd3d.

note yr tv must be able to handle 3d in the first place.

bro. need some help here. been using pohd mini2 for sometime.
now my collection of hd movies have grown to like 4nos of HDD.
3x 1TB and 1X2TB.
I tried to hook up a 4X USB Hub to enable me to connect all 4 simultaneously. I bought a A4 tech brand of USB hub.
Upon connecting to mini2, it cant detect all my hdd at all.
Direct plug in into mini2 usb port can work.
Please enlighten me how to overcome this.....
any particular brand for the USB hub?

Hi sifus,
I would like to know where you guys get the movie file from ? Mkv ? Rmvb? This player can support so many file type. Is it possible to encode Dolby digital audio file into my downloaded movies from QVOD or online ? So that my home theater won't waste. Currently I watch rmvb use the coaxial and mute the HDMI from TV and my subwoofer cannot give correct and stable bass. I guess the audio encode not good enough. Maybe is just simple basic audio. Can I download it separately and encode it ?

Thanks.

I use media player to watch 3D movie on my LG. The picture is fine but the subtitle cannot be read.

The video is HSBS format and this cause the subtitle (.srt) to only appear on one side. Is there any tool to convert .srt for 3D? Tried 3D-Subtitler but could not get it to work.

FYI, the LG TV is using passive 3D technology.

Thanks in advance

direct hdmi connection to player should give audio, whether lpcm or passthru. play diff files, check for bad connection or if you had set tv to mute? try to plug in same hdmi with a dvd player to see if tv works fine. if nothing works, the only explanantion is that something is faulty with the player.

where to get these files is not be to discussed openly in forum! best you talk to people you know and ask them to show you.

rmvb is low grade, you will never get good audio. rmvb is commonly used in asian tv series, unlikely there is any good audio track for such shows, except maybe a few mega budget ones.

Is this a new tv? From the other thread(LG LED 3D...), you were looking for an LG 3D, right ? smile.gif Just wondering what player you're using. If it is popcorn hour, there is a thread and tool for 3D subtitle for movies which are half-sbs and half-ou. This is the link http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showthre...light=srt23dass.

In my case, I've just bought acryan 3d hd but haven't tested with srt yet. I expect this to work since this player is for 3d playback.

Most of my files are .mkv, the player works like a charm!

Do you have any good brand to recommend?

Thank you/.

what message was displayed? "file type not supported"?

mp4 is a basic file, the player should have no problem with the vast majority of mp4 files but it is possible it can't deal with some very old and outdated versions.

unlikely anything to do yr lan.
