To all AC Ryan owners out there.

Q1 - If movie stopped and power switch off, when I want to continue later, will the movie resume from where it was stopped?

Q2 - If using the fast forward function, what is the fastest speed?

Q3 - Any one have audio/video sync problem?

I am using WD media player now and I have issues with the above.

Thanks U in advance

On Q1, how about when the power is totally off. Will the movie still able to resume?

My WDTV media cannot resume when switched off or if the HDD is removed.

Thanks again in advance

No problem. It can resume as long as you not delete these two files ".Theater" & ".part" in HDD. These 2 files automatically created by media player after scan HDD finished.

Thanks for the valuable reply. Now, I can decide better.

Life is too short for me. I love to watch movies but can't spend too much hours in front of the idiot box.

Sometimes on PC, I watched movies with increased speed, say 1.5X to 1.7X so that I can finished the movie during lunch-time.

Does any media players has such feature?

You can FF at 1.5x, 2x, 4x, up to 16x (if i not mistaken). At 1.5x & 2x, there's still audio albeit, sounding like chipmunks

Great. How about the subtitle? Also available at above speed?

Which models?

Thanks

Subtitle can't display and no sound in fast mode.

Guess I have to stick to PC to watch at 1.5x speed. Although it sounds like Chipmunks, I can still watch the movie and read the subtitles.

Thks

I use media player to watch 3D movie on my LG. The picture is fine but the subtitle cannot be read.

The video is HSBS format and this cause the subtitle (.srt) to only appear on one side. Is there any tool to convert .srt for 3D? Tried 3D-Subtitler but could not get it to work.

FYI, the LG TV is using passive 3D technology.

Thanks in advance
