Iceman31 are you sending a file with chinese character? Try renaming it to english and send again. It works for me that way

Does anyone knows why cant get google maps on the market anymore?
Found out that latest googles maps has latest feature "navigation' which gives turn by turn navigation .but somehow our htc does not has this..
besides that i accidently found that actually it is in our phone
tap "+" to add items ->shortcut-> direction & navigation -> your destination -> save -> start the shortcut -> will not work

any experts out there can help?

sorry to say guys, but android is known to have this problem...

you can install no lock.. it enables the front button to unlock ur phone.. its available on the market or on app brain too http://www.appbrain.com/app/org.jraf.android.nolock

Anyone here who own htc handphone facing problem on the phone and send back to htc service center? I heard htc after sales service in singapore
is quite worst, lousy and slow. Is same as Malaysia?

Google maps navigation do not support countries other than US and UK for this moment.....
It is not htc problems but android itself.
There is modified google maps create by one of the great developer out there, which able to navigate using google maps...
That application is brilliant and i love it ~~
google for brut map then you will know what i mean, (it is not in the market now)~~

ive tried it... not exactly the one i want though..
it will just disable the lock on our phone... i want the unlock button(by default the power button) to be assign to other button...

owh.. u mean reassigning the sleep/wake button to another button such as the trackball? hmm.. i saw that once on XDA but not sure if it requires rooting or not.. ive used that myself last week but that was on a custom rom which was included with that feature.. try reading up on xda, im running out of time but ill try to look for it once i got back later this afternoon n pm to u my findings

ofcoz go for class 6. faster as compare to class 4.

The battery of the Desire is really the major concern right now.

- I fully charged my Desire before going to sleep, by the time I wake up it only left with 70%. (I have turn off everything but left the data 2G/3G on)
- Continuous using browser, game and email checking (push email) - my Desire can only last 3 hours max
- With just data on, it drops 2% every 5 minutes - that is putting the phone in standby mode
- Even while charging using the car charger, I put up GPS, Bluetooth and Data - the battery keeps dropping while charging
- I charge 2 times on average on a daily basis

This is how crazy the battery life - something must be done, I am thinking of now getting a spare battery, how much is an original SIS spare battery for Desire?

Try turning the data connection off and see whether it makes a difference.. I guess some app is running in the background and constantly using data..

As for the car charger, how much is the rating? most car charger i saw are only rated 0.5A.. I guess not enough juice when you're using GPS, bluetooth and data at the same time.. lol..

When I initially bought the phone, it too used to give me same little battery life. Then I run through full charge-discharge cycle for around 6 times. Thereafter the battery life increased tremendously. Now the battery of desire serves me full 18+ hours with 3G always on doing my fb, twitter, 2 accounts mail push every 5 mins, gtalk, ym and browse internet for an hour or so. Plus i also listen to music for around 1 hr daily.

To maintain the same battery performance, I now keep on doing the same - full charge-discharge cycles.
