When I initially bought the phone, it too used to give me same little battery life. Then I run through full charge-discharge cycle for around 6 times. Thereafter the battery life increased tremendously. Now the battery of desire serves me full 18+ hours with 3G always on doing my fb, twitter, 2 accounts mail push every 5 mins, gtalk, ym and browse internet for an hour or so. To maintain the same battery performance, I now keep on doing the same - full charge-discharge cycles.
