I've formatted 3 times via phone since purchase..had this phone for 1month plus. I think its the only complaint I have about the desire so far..apart from the lousy call loudspeaker.

But this SD corruption I noticed from other forums seems to be an Android issue more than a Desire one. I'm considering changing my sd card to fix this problem..currently using an 8gb sandisk, class 2 I think. Anyone here know if upgrading to a class 6 will fix this problem?

I've had the problem but there is a method to ensure you dun run into it, make sure that after you dismount the sd card from PC, re-select your connection on the phone to charge only and only then remove the cable. Since the last time my SD card corrupted, I've been following this method and so far so good. I'm suspecting it's the USB debugging that is the problem. Someone out there recommended this method and I followed.

For me, can last 2-3 days.

Minimal Surfing, Wifi Enable, Data Disable, and usual phone + sms.

If on Data and play with eBuddy.. then very fast the battery goes down....

Does anybody feel the phone is alittle warm near the "sim card / sd card" area when you enable the data.

Eric

Hi all,i just love this phone. Been reading all the reviews, plan to purchase one. Just want to know whether if i buy it from maxis, can i choose their data plan alone? Im currently using maxis postpaid. Wonder if i will get their discounted price or not? Thanks

Dont worry about the warm issue.. its normal.. even my past phones are like that.. thats the nature of current.. it produces 'friction' thus resulting heat..

For the alarm issue as faced by some of the users here, I think one of the reasons is because you might kill the clock apps when you are using the advance task killer.

So make sure when you are trying to kill apps, do not kill the clock. I had the same problem too, but now just ignore the clock app when you try to kill other apps.

Cheers!

ho-ll: I don't use Advanced Task Killer or any task killer apps, but the alarm is sporadic for me.

Same goes for creating entries under the Calendar - adding more reminders doesn't seem to work. I guess it would be best to test this while watching the phone instead of when I have to rely on it.

try putting down your phone and hit the refresh list. I'm not too sure on where is the antenna located in Desire, but when holding the phone in certain way, it might impede the quality of reception. These days, everyone is getting paranoid due to iPhone/wifi issue. whistling.gif whistling.gif
