Wow, Facebook when synced properly looks sweet! I am manually syncing for those whose names on Facebook do not match the name in my Google phonebook.
Anyway, what is a radio, in the context of ROMs?
Also, when Android 2.2 comes to us in a Over The Air update, will our phone data be wiped out?

I think you can read from here. http://developer.htc.com/adp.html#s4QUOTE Each Android platform version is designed to run on top of a specifc version of the radio firmware. Typically, each successive release of the Android platform relies on a newer version of the radio firmware, so whenever you are planning to flash a new system image to your device, whether upgrade or downgrade, you should also update the radio firmware to the version expected by the platform. If you do not update your radio image, the system may encounter problems.

KTCY, thanks! I think that is the clearest explanation of what the images are. I had no idea that there were 4 levels involved!

You can put them anywhere basically. The Android MediaScanner will look for them (though sometimes it can be annoying like listing sound clips from games inside your music player).
