@Pennywise i think you could easily ask for adiscount, perhaps around RM500 or so because the higher the price, the better discounts you get icon_idea.gif

All Sifu,

Finally, I'm about to order my XPS16 to join your army.

For the RM4,999 package, I've only change the color to Alpine White and the warranty 3-year XPS Premier Service with 3-year CompleteCover. The pricing becomes RM5,667 and the Sales Representative offered me a 17" Belkin Messenger Bag.

Anything more I can squeeze from them for this price, RM5,667?

Guys, the Dell Studio XPS, is the body made out of a metal or aluminium alloy? Or is it just plastic all the way (read somewhere it was alum alloy)?

Do the speaker grilles get scratched really easily (my father's old XPS Mxxxx did)?

Ohh so the bottom of the laptop is metal then.

Same, dust collects on my Tiny speaker grilles. Barely a square inch x2. How to get rid of it?

I've been considering a XPS 16 and have configured it close to RM7000..
But I couldn't help but to doubt the 5730 here :/

Hmmm XPS or M15x?
If XPS..pretty much everything except for the processor lol.

Hi all, need advice here...

Why music sounded like no ummph when I connected my XPS16 to external speaker?

With the same speaker, I get a LOT better sound quality when connected to my desktop.

Could it be driver problem? Or poor output quality from audio jack?

Thanks.

Anyone knows Dell hotline open until what time? I want to place my booking and the sales representative yesterday said she'd send me a quotation but I have not received it till now. I'd probably call to bargain again but some of them quite stingy / stubborn.

LOL when I asked for a quotation it was more expensive than the previous one...

They still refuse to give the OS disc... zzz

Oh btw the top cover of the XPS 16, does it have some leathery rubbery patch? My laptop's top cover has a rubbery surface but this is ok as it does not wear out. I hope the XPS' is solid plastic or whatever.
