I've been considering a XPS 16 and have configured it close to RM7000..
But I couldn't help but to doubt the 5730 here :/

Of course I did..But for the similar price I can't get a good spec out of a M15x..It'd be close to RM9000 already sweat.gif

Hmmm XPS or M15x?
If XPS..pretty much everything except for the processor lol.

M15x..I guess, RAM, 7 Ultimate and 3 years complete cover. (>RM8k already lol)

Yes, this is the part I dont understand. How can you reformat / reinstall windows with just a REcovery Disk for Win 7 64 bit? Does it mean it will recover my XPs to factory settings, that's it? No formatting or clean reinstallation?

What I understand, can be wrong so please correct me.

I format the laptop
I put in the REcovery disk
and it's suppose to install Win 7 64 bit on its own? Where does all the installation files come from? Some secret partition in the HDD?

Please clarify.

You don't need to format the laptop.
You just put in the recovery disc, restart your laptop and let it boot the disc.
Follow the procedure to recover your laptop. When the process is done, your laptop will be at factory setting, software preinstalled etc.

So to your question, yes, the recovery disc is suppose to install the OS, softwares and misc. The installation files comes from the recovery disc.

Bout secret partition in HDD, for my old laptop, asus G1S, yes, there's a secret partition called recovery partition that will allow the user to recover the laptop without using the recovery CD. (Unless the HDD eff-ed up big time, then i'll have to use the recovery disc)
