That's theoretically actually... But it should be true cz less energy used confirm = lower temperature. I'm still waiting for my dear new lappie to arrive, which is equipped with 5730, duno who has the comparison between the 2 diff graphic cards' overall system temperature. >_<'"

Can anybody post screenshots of their Dell Studio XPS 16 (1647, etc) temperatures (core and graphics etc).
I am thinking of buying a Dell XPS 16 with HD 5730. Should I get i5-450 or i5-520?
Otherwise should I get Sony 14inch 1366x766 i5-520 HD5650?
THANKS

QUOTE(ampangdude @ Jul 16 2010, 03:06 PM) Well ... for me ... since I already have a case of complaining my adapter was burning hot ... I want to complain again ... and try to ask for a replacement 130W adapter. I plan to tell the DELL customer service that I read in the internet (notebookreview.com) that this is a design weakness that can only be rectified with a new 130W adapter. Not sure can work or not ... but I'll try. haha... i may copy ur complain, actually my adapter quite hot also

guys...i've come across reviews stating that XPS 16 has excellent LCD screen...now my question is...which one are they referring to?
is it the normal 15.6" LCD screen that comes together with XPS 16 or the upgraded 16" version which we have to pay like RM600+ for upgrade?
thanks.

Erm guys. I saw that Dell laptops come with Windows RE CD.
Is that enough for one to reinstall his new laptop? Don't we need the Windows 7 Installation CD?
I thought WinRE only allows repair and limited backup recovery.
I prefer the traditional System Wipe where we get a fresh system of Windows. How will I go about doing this?

I'm having massive latency levels here, thus causing audio stuttering/crackling. One of the reason is my Intel 5100 driver,it's dated 14/5/2009 Where can i get the latest driver for that?Cant' seem to find in the Intel website, all rojak Dell's website also stated 5150, don't have 5100 This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jul 18 2010, 01:59 PM

I'm using that driver, after a while crackling sound will come, haha, just like the previous one. The crackling disappeared because you just restarted computer, continue for a few hours and see? Anyway, for me, the offending software was BitComet, just closing it and reopen will solve the problem for at least a few hours. So, try to identify the softwares that uses a lot of network traffic, and if the sounds do come back, restart the software.

Gonna to submit an email to Dell rep for discount .. If I got an extra money ... is it worth to take the 16.0"UltraSharp™ Full High Definition (1080p) RGBLED Display with TrueLife™ instead of default 15.6" Edge to Edge Full High Definition(1080p) Display with TrueLife™? Ok, first comparison is it a little bigger .. other advantage? or some article for me to read on .. Thanks This post has been edited by Irzani: Jul 18 2010, 07:53 PM
