From engadget...

Hey Apple, you're holding it wrong

user posted image

We're only holding it in the way that you showed us.

see, even in the ip4 promo hold it that way without problems but Steve Jobs said we hold it in wrong way??
i think the bar reception in this promo is only photoshop coz the the call will drop if used like that. rclxub.gif shakehead.gif

I love ip4 but apple just denied about the problem & blame us, now waiting for review in msia and see the result.
If there is no reception issue, i will get it...

There is new said that the quality of the iphone 4 reception will reduce on how you hold the iphone. It will drop the call suddenly.

think apple will jus issue the standard bumper casing to all ip4 buyers.. dont think thy can do anythin about it already.. it will change their entire design. go back to the drawing board and not to mention reconfiguring their manufacturing plant. i guess the bumper was a quick fix and thy realised it abit too late.

think ill skip this and wait the ip5. or alteast i think thy'd term it the new ip4g.

guess what apple solution??
use the bumper rclxub.gif doh.gif

i think this is not a solution, sometime people like it naked, just like that or
used one layer of protection on top of that...

Penang Street Food makes it to iPhone 4

As of today (06/24/2010), I probably became the first person to install the Penang Street Food iPhone app (Download here) on the iPhone 4. After lining up for 3.5 hours (relatively short compared to other cities) here in Boston, I was relieved to be holding one on the way out while others in the back of the line were envying my good fortune.

Being Malaysian (Penangite too), it shouldn’t surprise others that my loyalty lies with our delectable cuisine. That being said, the first app that I had to install was the Penang Street Food app. If one isn’t able to consume the goods, the next best thing is to at least be able to feed one’s imagination, right? Too bad that the iPhone 4 does not have a virtual smells feature, like a scratch-n-sniff sticker!

Here is what the app looks like on the iPhone 4:

user posted image

I’m sure you’ll be able to find the complete features on other sites but here are some of my initial thoughts on the iPhone 4 so far:
1. Feels very solid and sleek in my hand – seems a little heavier than the iPhone 3G but in a good way.
2. Display is very crisp and clear. Big PLUS!
3. HD video recording!
4. Camera now comes with flash and you can switch between front and rear. The front feature is very useful for those who love taking photos of themselves.
5. Multi-tasking that comes with the OS 4.0.

Check out more pics here.

Maybe they should use Bumpers in their Ads.

They should really reconsider using this design for iPhone 5. I wouldn't want a phone that needs a Bumper to work well.

oo so why dont they including bumper in the package too?many users prefer naked iphone instead of casing bro..

and gizmodo also reported that some of the volume button has been swapped

Nothing is perfect. Good thing there are no cracks in iPhone 4 like those in 3G and 3GS.

other thing still ok but drop call or weak network coz of holding issue?not reasonable mate..

is just my opinion...

Of course nothing is perfect but somehow being an IPhone fans myself I really find this reception issue is rather ridiculous.. holding it the right way? I am like what the heck sweat.gif

Maybe they'll recall ALL their iPhone 4 lol...

None of your current simcard compatible with the iPhone 4 either 64k/ 128k. Because the latest iPhone 4 will be use Micro Simcard which if i'm not mistaken Maxis already provided. Btw, please write correctly as iPhone 4 instead of i4, iPhone 4G???

Bro : i wish to correct you. I am using Digi Prepaid ( the 128k) - I cut the original simcard down to size. It works PERFECTLY on my iPAD. Yesterday I was in Singapore and I tested the roaming - works perfectly too. Tested too on Celcom Prepaid card - bought it just to test

This is my answer to several who PM me about how to cut the card : you just need a sharp scissors and a piece of paper

First get the size of the card ; put a piece of paper inside the simcard slot - slightly pressed along the edges to get a impression. Cut the paper to have the size. Put paper on top of the simcard and use a pencil to trace the size on the card. What I did I cut first the right handside close to the gold edge. Then I trim the rest - it is alright to trim off slightly the top n bottoms of the gold edges. The important area is the centre part where you see 2 lines
