Bout the CDI, BRT Dualband / Rextor recommended? Give the model/series that performs good. Any tips is much appreciated.

Is there any problem if change this 1st? hmm.gif

CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) : This performs just like an ECU or 'brain' for our bike. It will determine the best ignition curve for the engine, newer model had a greater cut-off (the RPM max point your bike can reach, lower than the actual potential) than the older model. So the using of aftermarket CDI is the option for most LC owners.

If I no remember wrong this is copy from are_keem... sweat.gif

mad.gif my bike is out from bee hock d, turns out Faito's Titanium Series Valve kembang. f***! gotta spend another RM155 for new set of yamaha valve. im reverting back to the reliable yamaha valve's. I seriously cant imagine how pathatic faito's product is , i only use the valve for 1 month and already kembang, plus i jarang lap on the road cuz i really sayang my bike. faito's product is so expensive yet really bullshit ppl's money!!!, i bet those 'nameless' thailand or indonesia brand is much much much better mad.gif

Lesson to learn- dont use faito product, even its the last brand on earth. unless u got a lot of money until dunno where to spend and u got a lot of time to spend at the garage

some other info:
- bee hock did adjust the carb settings and cdi settings again and i feel my bike accel is much smooth and lighter! felt really good ^^

- "charge's bike is not gonna be out this saturday" thats what bee hock told me cuz some of his 'components' hasnt arrive yet so i guess if he'll be joining us, he's gonna use his relatives bike hmm.gif

thanks a lot for sharing this much... expensive lesson I hope no one ever have to learn. TT time I belanja you teh tarik peng, ok? biggrin.gif

@Itsuki: haha, looks like you have a notebook of all the lessons from V1-V5... anything useful from me ah? tongue.gif *paiseh paiseh.

2 more days to TT...

sharing: my bike start to rattle in the crankshaft (I think) after revving to 8-9k RPM to test full speed for a few times. Time for full service liao... need to save some $ for that. Really interested to find out what main bearings my crankshaft uses, and then go to bearing specialist buy good brand one, either NTN or SKF...
trivia: did you know 2-stroke bikes don't have EO Filter one?

rextor cdi can adjust/ set the RPM limit.. lets say u wan ur bike rev till 11k rpm.. u set it to 11k rpm.. and when u pull throttle.. the rpm max will hit 11k only.. wont go over than that.. =)

they apply tht eo /lubricant just to protect the chain & sprocket lifespan by reducing the friction between it so apply once a while is ok
