Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising is now included in the promotion list. Only available in the US region though. I'll update the price tomorrow once I'm in office. icon_rolleyes.gif

EDIT: Uprising price is $8.97 after being cut by 50% discount.

Erm... if it's the same issue even in Steam, I think it's either the game repository is corrupted or something else. Do you have any other computer that you can try on, preferably with different OS? hmm.gif

Request has been made before & mod is currently in the midst of restructuring the GH subforum. Refer to this link:

Soon there'll be no pinned DD thread. smile.gif

Now i have second thought of GamersGate

1. They screw my Men of War, the lastest patch is different from steam, so i cant play with my friends.

2. It also screw someone SaintRow2 Copy as well.

1. Can I know if it's something like Borderlands? Almost got it but put it aside last minute due to my SC2 multiplayer issue somehow got resolved.

2. Not trying to defend GG or anything but apparently SR2 in Steam received lotsa rants too. sad.gif Still it's not something to look forward to from GG. sad.gif

EDIT: On another note, are you gonna try submit a ticket to inquire about the Men of War multiplayer issue?

On point 1, that is actually Steam's failing since you don't have the option to downgrade your game version (Unless you do a backup beforehand, but that's way too tedious) and in some cases Steam may take their own sweet time to upgrade (Like what happened with EVE Online and one of the STALKER games)...

My point is, that is a failing with ALL DD services (The ones that have some form of DRM at least). Can't really put the blame solely on Gamersgate or Steam really as version mismatches do happen.

most patches work fine with digital version...only some with DRM issue tat may provoke the problem
on patches note, steam certainly did a better job, or more fulfilling job, as automatically patch ur game to the latest. of course, sometimes it takes time
on gamersgate, if the game developer dont care, basically any patches release is good for the copy..

Well, Men of War is a special case since it's the publisher of the game that do not exactly care about the English version of the game support, they are from Eastern Europe and apparently don't really care about providing the DD services with quick patches.

And until recently it was Steam that was lagging behind in the MoW patches meaning Steam users could only play with other Steam users while other DD users could play with anyone.

Personally I say GG is usually as good as Steam or bit better for most games and excellent for any Paradox published games, seems they have some close ties with Paradox and usually get patches faster than other DD, including Steam.

For SR2, I have no idea really, I got the Steam one, which still had some bugs and bad framerates sometimes too, the pc version of the game was quite a bad port really.
Go take a look at SR2 Steam forums and you will see it's not a GG-only problem ^^

From what i know. Steam has been behind in releasing MoW patch which is 1.11.3? While rest of the world gets 1.17.5 and 1.17.5.1(hotfix). Oh. this was about a couple of weeks ago i think MoW steam is 1.17.5 now?

Yes, Steam only pushed the 1.17.5 like 1-2 months ago, was a long time after other DDs. They said 1C didnt provide them with the patch but it's quite weird other DD got it but not Steam.

Steam has something similar to Microsoft's "Digital Signing Certification" process which means they MUST test the patches beforehand and ensure that it meets a certain standard before allowing it to be updated. Hence the delay.

Its a double edged sword though. Yes, you get patches that don't break the game, but that also means the patches take awhile to come in.

weird enough that 1C or MoW official website only listed 1.11.3 as latest.
damm, this more confusing than Sacred 2 patch

While I agree on the process, here it wasnt just this since Steam was saying they didnt get the patch from 1C yet, wasnt just a bit of delay either but like a few months.

And not seeing the patch on the English 1C site is not really surprising me much, the site feels pretty much abandoned...

I am not preaching GG really, it's just that in this the issue wasnt really with Steam or GG, was more with 1C apparently, MoW is a special case.
Some games are better handled in GG, some better in Steam really.

GG or steam can put pressure on 1C for the patch wad. Since they are the only one can reach 1C directly.
