spaceship shooting games not my type. i hope they will put in more action titles like assasin creed or some badass fps. batman arkham asylum is the best deal they got now

Bought Batman: Arkham Asylum and downloading now. Download speed is very slow @ 160kB/s only (Steam around 600kB/s, peak @ 1.4MB/s). But considering that I can install the game on different PCs and play at the same time, I think it's quite worth the price.

Some good games there, but I got most of them already

Men of War is sooooooo cheap, its not even funny (I almost feel sorry for the developers).
Hell, Total Annihilation is cheaper (And its older than Starcraft!)

Must be some sort of promo for their upcoming Assault Squad expansion.

Yeah, that's what I thought too, because for sure the devs arent getting much out of this I think...

Does the Men of War offer more cheaper than steam?

if steam offers more than 80% discount on Men of War then yeah.

When you arrive at this kind of price (2-3usd), half a usd does not matter that much really anyway.

Take it for convenience where you prefer.

I'd try to balance my purchase of games between steam/non steam. Just so i don't get locked out if ever i'm offline.. or #@@$# can't sign on to steam crap heh.

FYI, steam can always start in offline mode
if the game you are playing is not powered by steam match making,while in offline mode u can still online play (if u get my meaning).

I know about offline mode. Just that sometimes one can forget to do that everytime i switch off the pc. To go offline mode, i have to sign in online before i can change it. Unless i've been wrong all these while.

Nope, you can actually start in Offline mode even if you haven't signed in before hand. Steam has a "decay counter" so to speak that will kick in the moment you get disconnected. As long as this decay counter is still alive and kicking, you can still run it in Offline mode. Once it expires, it then disables Steam completely until you get online again.

Now, the big question that everyone is wondering, is how long does this decay counter last (Some say its 2 weeks, some say 6 months) and in some cases, how it can sometimes get deactivated (Like hardware changes, etc.)
