I like the UFO After series. However, I probably give this a pass due to the fact that I have too many games as it is.

The only downfall for digital distribution is that I gotta remember lotsa usernames and passwords.
*
Heh... with the digital age we're in right now, password management is as vital as keeping your wallet secured. Email, Facebook, games with DRM such as StarCraft 2, office workstation... all these are non-DD related yet they still need passwords. biggrin.gif

Maybe you'll find password manager such as KeePass useful? Don't take me wrong though, I'm not in any way sanctioning KeePass as the best out there.

but i guess no harm done with helping others to buy games on gamers gate i guess.

The bolded part!

I really had a hard time convincing existing Steam users to try GamersGate... even at times when GG was giving better discount compared to Steam. sad.gif

That might because there's people like me, for example, who prefer all the game to stick on one platform than Many many other platform.

Easier to keep track on our spending + games.

Not to mentioned Steam have that community friendly services.
*
Hope you don't take me as trying to argue or shove my points but GG is almost equivalent to a retail copy in the sense that you don't need to run a client nor require internet connection to play your game (unless there's DRM involved). How many times have we seen users going rage over Steam update / connection issue? biggrin.gif

Steam update issue is not entirely about Steam.
It's about our ISP problem. How come I can update and log in smoothly while the others cannot? I also Streamyx user what.

Same thing with Steam, you can play game on offline mode also. Just that in many millions of the Steam user, there's most likely 1% or less know about the offline modes.

Provided your Steam is up-to-date. Offline play is possible.

There's also a possibilities that U might ditch Retail box, if those game ever made it into DD platform in the future.
*
You got a point there. Well, for me whichever DD can provide me my desired game at lower price will get my moolah. biggrin.gif

I'm pretty OK with Steam but had a horrible experience with the CC declined issue during the last Summer Sale. Steam support wasn't very helpful when it comes to the duration required to get the issue resolved. While others may argue that it's a good anti-fraud mechanism, you can be pretty darned sure that it's a boon when the whole Steam forum was filled with customers going FFFFFUUUUU... due to the same issue. biggrin.gif

what happened during summer sales oh?
*
You were sick in Taiwan. biggrin.gif

Joke aside. Steam refused to accept my CC, claiming that my bank put it on hold. Checked with bank, they didn't receive any transaction request from Steam at all. Support request to Steam took more than a day to unlock my account & after purchase another game, BAM! CC declined again. You can't imagine how much hair I'd pulled out. cry.gif

This cycle repeated for 3 times & when I checked the forum, HEY I'm not the only one with such issue. So confirmed it's Steam's problem. vmad.gif

I'm for one don't like to put everything to one, just me against monopoly biggrin.gif who ever gives better deals gets my vote. community/browser. etc etc those are small issues as compared to game selections and price. Consumer FTW!

And for steams Paradox sales.. their selections are waayy too limited compared to GG's offer.

Could be several reasons:

1. He does not want to open another DD account
2. His Bioshock 2 is on Steam
3. He prefers the delivery from Steam.

and etc.

Not everyone makes a decision based on price.

Similar to my case, Starcraft 2.

If I wanted to save money, I'll just get it from Battlenet for less than RM200 instead of buying retail copy from Deimos which is RM235 (including postage)
*
*points to Deimos* Tsk tsk tsk... never thought you're the type to make a killing out of your fellow LYN bros. shakehead.gif

HAHAHAHA... joking joking. tongue.gif

I guess we just need time to get more visibility to GG. It's true that GG used to provide uninteresting titles but from the look of it, things are improving now. smile.gif
