I also managed to buy some games from them, Karkhov 1943, a paradox game.

I am in China though so maybe lock different than Msia.

Overall I liked the service, was pretty fast and all

Gamers Gate have also much more sales than Steam and put lots of games in sales each time.

They also have different games than Steam, some "smaller" games that could be interesting for some.
For me I went to them for a Paradox strategy game that Steam did not want on their platform.

Personally I check Impulse, Steam and GamersGate sales pretty often through that website that shows all of the sales in one place, you can find some good bargain sometimes smile.gif

Forgot to put the link to that website that shows all sales: Here

Go to the second tab on top, shows Impulse, Steam, Direct Drive and GamersGate

Updated very very quickly, helped me not miss some good sales on non Steam platform before smile.gif

And yes, to be able to choose where you install the games is a good point in my opinion too.

Nice, I did look at HoI3 yesterday but didnt see that one.
Seems interesting, much better than sprite pack really but would have expected this to be free though...
Vanilla game is quite lacking in faction specific units

Then you should get his I.C.E mod which is free. It defer from this DLC as it tries to be historically balanced.

Here are the goodies for common weapon DLC.

Thanks

Yar, I went to the paradox forums checking on this new "DLC" and found the reference to the ICE mod, guess I will go for this since it's free and at least it works with Steam version of HoI3 which I own.
Also the guy said he is not 100% sure the AI knows how to build and really use the new units which is a bit disapointing.
A lilttle imbalance never really bothered me, all countries had different "strenghts" in term of units anyway smile.gif

Impulse & GamersGate Demand Respect

In retrospect, NPD should have included sales from Impulse and Gamer's Gate.

Actually I wondered where they would have gotten the data yar, because for sure as hell Blizzard is not giving their's for sure

Steam I could see them doing it since they are pretty much the leader.

But if Gamersgate is saying they did not get contacted I do not see where they got their data really....

One thing to note though is that IIRC the numbers showed were only for US, that could skew the results quite a bit as other platforms might be bigger in Europe/Asia or whatever.

You usually have to go to the GG site and it should be under the game in your account.

Nowadays, most game patches works with all digitally downloaded games unless stated by DDs. For instance, il2/Steel fury/Achtung panzers for me, downloaded patch from game dev works. One thing kinda pisses me are highly modded games on steam. It's a pain to have a game with differend versions/mods e.g IL2. differend folders. 1 folder for SP, 1 for MP and 1 for mod testing and such.
*
For Achtung I read notes saying it was quite recommended to get it from the DD you bought it, so well, it might work but might be safer to get it from the right website.

Anyway, whichever DD gives me a better price gets the deal. As easy as ABC. cool2.gif

That's pretty much my policy too, if the difference is very small though (few USD), I will get it on Steam for convenience though.

GG has some less known game so I can understand they do not attract to lots of people (I also only interested in few games on GG too)

Well, I can confirm it, I just bought Mass Effect2 for 14,97usd too from them.

I just found it on the main link to their sales: Summer Sales at GG

For info I am located in China so usually it's same "region" as Msia but sometimes it is different, not sure for GG really.

Well, after checking looks like China is indeed considered a different zone than Msia blink.gif

Very strange asian country like China got the sales but another another like Msia...

Well, you could try to use a proxy (in office or something) maybe.

Sorry about the false alert then.... sweat.gif

Just clarified with GG via Twitter. Only the US region has the 50% discount. Seems like accessing GG from China will automatically route you to the US region. whistling.gif

Hummmm, it's quite strange.... but hey, I am not complaining.

Getting some proxy from Hong Kong or Taiwan could do the trick for Msian people wink.gif

SR2 is an "okey" GTA-like game.

It's a bit old though so graphics and all arent topnotch but acceptable.

Story is quite alright with a bit some crazy moments, they do not exactly tell a "Serious" story, lots of crazy or 2nd degre stuff. It's also more mature than GTA with more offensive dialogs and actions, sexual reference etc.

Some people are having bugs with it too, personally I didnt except a bit of lag when driving (which everyone has, the engine is badly optimized)

When you arrive at this kind of price (2-3usd), half a usd does not matter that much really anyway.

Take it for convenience where you prefer.

Just to pipe in I also using Kasperky 2010 and I never had issue with GG download so far, it does check on the executable when it first run but that's normal stuff.
So well, I cannot say it wasnt this, just that usually Kaspersky ask you before doing anything, depends how you configure it also.
