Maybe try using universal androot? I used universal androot to root my phone, then use milestone overclock, not problem at all. I am now using SetCPU to overclock my milestone, no issue too.

Added on April 1, 2011, 8:33 amAfter MSU to 2.2, i noticed my phone keypad backlight is not working, & the sms settings when i selected unchecked "delete old messages" , it will always checked back to "delete old messages" every time i off & on the phone, anyone has such issues?

if it reboots it means the overclocking failed. Try to lower your Speed of increase your VSEL. because if you match a high Speed with LOW VSEL. there is not enough power to support the speed so it will overclock.

If after this incident and your phone is sluggish as snail.. as in really unusable.. probably u have fried something.. but its kinda rare.. try to run other roms or something.

guys, how do u use setcpu? my max on set cpu is 550,000?

you need to use Open Recovery to overclock it. then also got one option to apply setting on boot, this also need to be done.

Have you rooted your phone? if yes, you will see one application name "superuser permission" in your app list. open it, under the App tab, select "allow" for setcpu, then you would able to overclock your phone to higher cpu speed.

btw, y it keep popping up low internal memory? i have 15.35 mb internal left. most my app are in sd card. anyone experiencing this on 2.2?

check your sms.. i once got low memory warning... delete here there still cannot, last deleted my sms and that solves the issue.

When your internal memory fall below 20mb, the low memory message will keep appear in notification box. You have to clear your cache & uninstall those app in your phone memory which is unnecessary. Once the available internal memory back to 20 mb, the message will go away.

and done tweakings with bulletproof launcher and background apps by zeppelin....
overclocked to 1100mhz an booya...!!!!
IMO, is the fastest experience i had wit my milestone...

Agreed. Don't know why I stupidly waited for the official update.

Recently rooted my phone with Universal Root and overclocked with Milestone Overclock. Unfortunately by lunch my batt is nearly dead when overclocked to 1 GHz. Is there any benefit of Setcpu compared to Milestone Overclock?

flashed to official froyo then revert back to eclair within 24hours..
what i can say official froyo is ,overclocked to 1ghz still give me the laggy response..the previous eclair still perform better than this froyo..still can stick with eclair as i don't need the flash support

Hahaha..I know y...bcoz of memory rite...I can develop nice rom for Ms if u guys want..but u need give ur device to me ...hehehe....

nope..on eclair i've got 40+ ram..in froyo i've got 50+ ram..
but one thing is when i open an app in homescreen it takes about 1-2sec to log in..in eclair i can log in directly without any lag..

Myb bcoz u used fat32 as ur app storage ....do u using native app2sd froyo?

i installed all the apps in phone memory for froyo..didn't app2sd..

U don't move app to SD using froyo? ....how many app u install on ur phone...?..then how many rom available ..
