Finally took the plunge last night and updated to Cyanogen Mod 6.1.2. Best decision I've made so far. Not looking back at the stock ROMs anymore... This ROM just have so much more functionality.

i'm using the APAC version. battery wise is much better than GOT leaked kernel. usage wise is about the same as 2.1, except for flash, install to SD, upload file from browser, and few other thing.

Stable and blazing fast. Also frees up an unbelievable amount of space for more apps. Totally recommended.

Used the newest cm6 when it comes out for a few days and i feel the stock leaked APAC rom offer more stability and better battery life. So im gonna stick with the stock rom for now. I also OC to 900mhz

Added on February 3, 2011, 10:46 pmgingerbread mod rom is out over at xda.. gonna wait for a while before i try it.

Is there a buried HW radio in the MS? Apps radios are already working fine in 2.1

Motorola Europe's Facebook Page:

Hi all. Some news. Our planned initial rollout of Android 2.2 (FroYo) for Milestone has been delayed - hence the change on our software upgrade website. We apologise for this delay which is due to necessary work that we need to do to ensure we deliver the best possible upgrade. We would like to reassure you that we are still on track to deliver FroYo for Milestone this quarter. We'll be sharing some news on features shortly and so please watch this space (10 hours ago)

And it's delayed yet again.
