I just updated Gesture Search and it now FCs without stop. It used to be fine and I used it constantly for contact lookup.

Anybody have a solution?

When I looked at Market Apps it listed all my apps and installed all available updates. The others didn't give so many problems.

Yesterday I did reinstall it and powered on/off to be sure, and it kept FCing again. Did another reinstall, TODAY OK (?!?!)

TQ anyway. Now I've added GS Bar app to complement it, and am very happily using GS again.

Original plastic sheet on new Milestone screen:

Mine just pulled off after 4 months I had only yanked the phone out of my jeans pocket when it was in a pouch, but the other day I carried it "naked" and the sheet rubbed off. I really miss it because it was pretty good at keeping the screen free of fingerprints. So now I need to ask you for recommendations for one that is transparent and does not slow down the touch function.

Another reason the pouch is good is that the rubberized back can make the battery cover come off when coming out of tight jeans. I think the new slimmer model will be too fragile for me!

I see some people got 2.34 and I am confused. Mine 2.31 but is this just a country code? I have no upgrades available as far as I can see.

People say "laggy" all the time. How exactly to judge if a phone is "laggy"? What is it that is happening or doesn't happen?

It was the same for me. Checked every few days, then suddenly it downloaded. (???)

Afterwards, Swype stopped working, so far cannot reinstall even following directions for 2nd beta.

Message is that my phone is NOT ANDROID !!!

If you want to keep it a while and want less hassle reloading etc, pay the RM$30(?) annual fee. It can be done from *100# if you have enough loaded in, maybe RM$30-40 You will probably get bonus points for free SMS too.

I put this in another thread and might be missed by somebody having the same problem with Swype Beta:

" I finally got around to emailing my IMEI to them. Today I as soon as I plugged in to PC a pop-up said update from Motorola. After going through whatever it was (Android remained 2.1 and MS 2.36, new MotoConn) I tried to reinstall from previous email message. IT WORKED ! So now Swype is up and running again. I'm thinking about removing the tiny add-on spherical mirror from an old phone and sticking it somewhere near the MS camera lens. Then can aim at self and friends better. Anyone tried this yet? An these be bought at shops?

What caused it? Although "gorilla glass," I worry a little about accidents. Mine usually in a sack in jeans pocket, never put keys or coins in that pocket.

Friend told me RM$5 removable protector does the job just fine.

My MS was unstable when I installed Live Wallpaper under 2.01 but haven't tried again under 2.1

Mine working fine. Please give examples of what you said that came out wrong and maybe we can get around it.

An excellent app that supports it is Speak2Send. Text created can be sent by email or to other SMS and note apps already installed on your phone.

I found speaking a natural moderate speed gave better results than attempting slow robotic clarity.

Needs active internet connection to work though

I see in Moto forum yesterday some Droid people getting 2.2 now OTA in USA. Is this something new happening, meaning we may be next?

Does it heat up only when making voice calls? I make very few calls but 3G on all the time, never even gets warm.

Yes, me too, but KB convenient when browser in landscape view. Swype takes up too much space and distracting.

"american products" now mostly made in China. I'm pretty sure my MS too. All depends on Moto quality control in Chinese factory. So far, so good.
