good news for anyone from ipoh..unifi registration open now..for who staying at jelapang (mostly taman meru area) and tasek can go to tm point (infront bangunan sri kinta to register)..tm customer service told me that unifi will come at the end of this year and they are now promoting unifi!!!

The DP pedestal box still unwrapped yet for my place as there's a plastic still tied around it as you can see.


Someone summore threw stinking socks on top of it while the house undergoing renovation works.

Got them calling me on my h/p, putting ads into my mailbox and of course set up booths nearby.

The funny thing is that there is no Unifi at my apartment building. Yes, I've verified this by using TM's web application and also going personally to TMPoint which is less than 5 minutes from where I lived in Bukit Jalil.

I'm guessing those agents are there to see how much demand there is for Unifi ? I dunno ....

A bit weird that there are so many banners and ads for Unifi where I lived and yet the service isn't available

I've already "registered" with the agent that called me on my h/p. Not expecting a reply from TM though since the service isn't there anyway.

Woke up this morning and saw my house jalan full with "UniFi kini ada di sini" bunting, but then I check the UniFi site, still not listed worr.. -.-

When that happens it'll mark the end of the current government's ruling and heralds something more interesting.

Hopefullly the new government will do away with the HSBB monopoly and introduce something that considers a solution that is fairer to the people like rural areas will be served with LTE to make up for the fibre coverage while fibre coverage will not be driven by political motives.

For those who have yet to receive fibre coverage but live within key urban limits, not to fret maybe there'll be something newer and more interesting coming to your place other than those who have already been covered by the HSBB project. Don't let your hopes down.
The current government will disappoint you but the new government will not.

There's good proof. Internet connectivity in both Penang and Klang Valley is ahead of the rest of the country.

Both are opposition states. They have better agreement with alternative telcos and fairer policies.
