how to know my phone is 015 baseband?
my phone show this M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015

You can check your baseband by referring to the last 3 digits, so you got the right stuff there.

Also, check out the one finger pinch zoom if you haven't do so, now you can zoom out in Angry Birds!

Hi. I'm new here.

Just flashed to 2.2.1 (the one with 710Mhz OC)but didn't get any performance boost. Kindda disappointed.

Here's the step I took. I started with 2.1
1. Rooted the phone with super1click
2. Partition the SD and install app2sd (use the phone for a while and decided to flash in the end so proceed to step 3).
3. Installed xRecovery. Made backup.
4. Installed the ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=964223

Run Quadrant Standard to benchmark and still get roughly same results when I was in 2.1(453 points)

Hi guys just got my SE X8 yesterday...newbies here new to android.. i have few question here:

1.what is root?
2.what is reboot?
3.i think mine is android 1.6 i thought it's supposed to be 2.1 rite?(refer to firmware it's written 1.6) maybe i've been cheated by the sales person in lowyat
4. wat else should i do fully utilize the fon to the max?
5. My pack came with USB cable,handsfree,charger and user guides manual. It's that all?

1. Root = Get superuser access from the phone. Some applications need superuser rights in order to function.
2. Reboot = restart the phone.
3. Older models are with 1.6 but can be upgraded to 2.1 with Sony Updater Service.
4. Should have an extra back cover I think. Not sure if its the same since yours is 1.6
5. Emm this one I can't answer couze it should be there. It'll be there if you update to 2.1.

Is there any different if it is the old model. Becoz if there is a lot of difference i'm going to complaint back to the sales agent... So where should i start with my new SE X8? Thanks for your reply by the way

I don't really know for sure.

To confirm you can check your phone model it should be E15a i think while the latest one is E15i.

The phone model i already checked it is E15i. But then why my firmware is 1.6 and i don't have the android market? Funny...

I already tried flash all CM ROM and i found out tat :
-android market keep crash
-several apps cant b installed

Btw,wat rom did u guys think stable n most suitable to play HD games ATM?

u bought ap set? some country dun hav market installed, u hav to do it manually.. forgot how to do it...

if urs is 1.6, most probably urs is old set.. new set mostly comes with 2.1, but u can update it through seus or pc companion.. but check whether ur warranty void with ur seller once u update.. some seller very fussy dun wan u to mod ur phone, but wht use of android without modding?

we all use e15i, e15a is not available for us..

Guys... tried to root,everything went well until the last part when it was saying something like'do u want to for a test run' clicked yes and it was saying SU TEST FAILED!!! Dont know what happened?
