ok..so here's the point..

if u want to root ur x8 than root it 
but if u update to 2.2 than ur warranty gone
if still in 2.1 and u manage to install app2sd than nice (cos i asked sony service center about it , they say as long still in 2.1 than anything happen when warranty they will flash back 2.1 directly but rmb...the condition is u can still turn on ur phone and not brick on anything xD )

Tried out the 2.2.1 MiniCM, I gotta say it's blazing fast alright. 

Only annoying thing is it'll reboot once you turn off USB storage.

Its jit enabled already. I don't face the reboot problem when turning off usb. and I'm using floyo skin because I don't like cm default skin, too glowing

Yup, correct, you need to root and install xrecovery and the required version of firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6 and 015 Baseband.
and follow the instructions 

You can check your baseband by referring to the last 3 digits, so you got the right stuff there.

Also, check out the one finger pinch zoom if you haven't do so, now you can zoom out in Angry Birds!

Hey guys, anyone managed to overclock their X8 above 800 MHz?

I can only reach 787 MHz without rebooting. Pretty insane to load desktop webpages in a couple of seconds.

Using Floyo v0.20 for now, waiting patiently for a bug free Gingerbread ROM 

This ROM is fast and stable, no need to overclock at all. 1021 quadrant score
