Sigh, after a tumultuous texting and emailing furiously between me in KL and my "transporter" in London, only manage to get 2 x 16GB iPhone 4. I'm very disappointed that the Apple Store does not honor the 32GB reservations that I've made, and instead pushed the "only left these, take it or leave it" attitude. What is the point of reserving if the reserver end up being treated like the hordes of crowd who are walk-ins? Bad form, Apple UK!
Either way, I'm accepting it as it is, and will be part of the purchasing folks for the Australian iPhone 4 launch next month. Plans and contacts are standing by in Sydney, and I myself am prepared for the worse for the Brisbane trip at the end of the month.
The other 16Gb iPhone 4 goes to Beavis for all the help he's extended to me all this while, and also his future commitment for me to help on the iPhone 4 purchases when I'll be in Sydney next month. I am still hanging on to the 32GB 3G[S] until I can get the 32GB iPhone 4, so for the first time, instead of just an iPhone, I'll having in my possession, 3 iPhones of varying sizes and models. Crazy, but yes, situation dictates it as such.
Will be making the trip to the airport tomorrow to pick the two iPhones with Beavis. Probably be making our first FaceTime call there too.

Stayed up for all this mess, time to get some rest for tomorrow. *Excitement is only 50% since I only get 50% of the expected size*
There were 32gb in stock in Westfield. Was suppose to get another 32gb but the person who wanted it asked me to exchange to 16gb. The person standing in front of me booked 16gb but wanted 32gb so i just switched with him. Shouldve just got the 32gb lol.
I bet your transporter must be furious with the Regent Street queue

I heard it was still that loooooooong at about 7pm and people who are behind the queue were given a card to collect it from store 2mr. People started queueing up on the queue to queue up for 2mr morning lol.
THe major flaw is where apple introduces getting contract at store. A contract signup can take around 45min - 1 hour and this affects the line a lot.
If you want to get the contract phone why not just walk in to the mobile provider? My colleague walked in to orange shop and got his iphone 4 in no time and its just around the corner at Oxford street lol.
Furthermore, the one on one experience is really unecessary and wasting a lot of time. I would prefer fast checkout rather than having one on one experience asi need to get to work after getting my iphone.
I talked to many people who is out of the queue and mostly are complaining about the amount of time wasted on the one on one experience. We just want fast and simple.
Sorry to rant here as i woke up 5am in the morning jus to queue and only got back at 11pm. I am not really excited to get my iPhone anymore. I havent even have a chance to play with it... (due to work and queueing lol)
