I already expected that Chelsea will struggle in this game and never surprised with the scoreline. I dont think MC is better than Chelsea but Chelsea look out of ideas, lack of creativity. Only Ivanovic header really golden opportunity for entirely game.

city play defensive style, very good in closing down so anelka n drogba no space to move, n midfield been control by them

We Chelsea fans know how to behave ourselves, unlike the fans who belong to the team that are gonna play tomorrow. smile.gif

I notice we as chelsea fan , when lose, we see things positively and not too rage when posting after the lost. Why is that? I think it all boils down to the belief that we have with our own team, we believe they will do well most of the time, yes we lose a couple per season but we still believe.

And good to see CA throw in J46 into the fray tonite.

woahhh u guys are really harsh on ramires. i don't think he was as poor as many here have described..he made some fantastic tackles when we were being countered, and did get into good positions with smart runs into the box, except nobody actually managed to thread a pass to him. maybe it wasn't as often as many here would've liked but please bear in mind this is only his what..3rd start? i won't excuse his mistake that eventually lead to tevez beating cech, but u also have to look at how poor we were at closing down their most dangerous player. ashley cole i'm looking at you. should've been much, much closer to make the block.

nobody bothered to mention one of the most obvious reasons we didn't get something from the game? i'll do the honours then: poor finishing. dare i say it, pathetic finishing. essien's unmarked header from a corner, and alex's shocker of a miss from six yards after malouda practically dropped the ball on his head from a freekick. i'd like to emphasise again, both were TOTALLY UNMARKED and quite adept in the heading department. that's just inexcusable imo, considering the setpiece goals we've been getting. i'd separate these two and have them practice their headers for an extra two hours in the next training session if i was carlo.

its true city roughed us up pretty good, and the ref let some really aggressive fouls go when we could've had more freekicks in dangerous positions.
boyata's barge on didier was obvious and quite possibly a pen. even so, all this would not be brought up had we just been more clinical at our setpieces.
their defenders repelled everything in normal play, and freekicks/corners were the only areas we looked likely to capitalise on. sadly we didn't and city deserved their three points. like last season they played to prove a point, and i'm not happy with the lack of urgency we displayed. congrats to them for sending us home empty handed, and not to mention officially becoming our new bogey team.

another thing we found out is nobody can really do lampard's job at the moment. other than that, the only player who wasn't disappointing was petr cech and possibly josh. the fact that we performed even worse than last season at eastlands is a cause for concern. carlo u have some screaming to do, and some teacups to break. that's all i can say.

hehe.. it's impossible for Chelsea to win all the game everytime. =) Now, Ancelotti vs Mancini record is fair n square. Win 8-8, draw 3-3. Haha ;p Finally, Mancini bring Chelsea down to earth. At least, we learnt something. Cheer guys. rclxm9.gif

At least, we know what's wrong that cost us 3 points last night.
In my opinion, our passing is not accurate at all and ManC playing not bad too. They are good in counter attack, having some highly destroy players like De Jong.

Carlo should review back what's wrong and we should try wing play when opponent push their defense forward instead sticking on the goal post. I don't think it's easy to beat opponent with long shot especially playing with high physically team.

Look at our previous 6,7,8 goals victory, normally our opponent push their defense at the back and we managed to break them easily.Regarding Lampard absence, this game totally showed that we need him. Look at his play style, hecontrol central of midfield but he provide chances tol left side and EVEN RIGHT SIDE. These kind of passes, can easily make opponent defender unmark our player and that will let us pass the ball easily.

If one team wants to beat Chelsea:
1)Having some high pacey players and play counter attack
2)Having high physical player because if you have bad physically, we can't cover Chelsea's players like Drogba and Essien at all!

One word:Pacey can beat us easily.

Just my opinion though.

ramires good at defending but for attacking he just too far away..
and the substitution sure make everyone feel pain
mikel for yuri?
sturridge for drogba?
we all know how bad ramires play last night bit dont know what is is CA mind
by not replacing hm instead by bring out mikel first
its ramires who need to out..not mikel and not drogba
and hopefully...josh can play again..
in case lampard cant make it for arsenal
its nice too see him play for the mighty eleven...
