hello to everyone that owns this game,
i havent bought this game yet, still saving money and hopefully already in 'best of' series when i have enough.
anyways, ive been reading some online news,
it appears that the game ff13 will sometimes cause the ps3 to hang when saving. after manually rebooting the ps3 will then permanently no longer able to recognize any media on it, so cant play games or blu ray movies anymore after that. thus rendering the console 'rosak'.

is this true, need some advice from owners if they had this issue or if the issue is common only to region 1 (usa) and not others etc etc.

Yup. There indeed were some complaints from a very few players that FFXIII froze. But just very few and most of them are playing the NA version.
I dunno what is the real cause. Some said it wasn't the fault of the game itself, but the console.

But I guess there's no such complaint now.
Just lay back and enjoy the game without worrying too much.

to thik abt it my game didnt freeze,but turn black once..for a second or 2.thats all..so far ok

robot mini quest give you trophy and gil not that much if i remember correctly.better farm turtle for trapz.also wanna try if the turtle boss mark trick still can use on eng ver or not

im just doing mission... max lvl 4... scared not strong yet for turtle..sked hehe...so do mission slowly...now im at mission 29 progressing...havent even upgrade wep..

im on chapter 11 , doing mission is so addictive. so only now i understand some stuff you guys posted earlier huhu

if you want to see you strong or not,put defender optima for all 3 char in your pt n challenge turtle.turtle stomp see how much dmg taken from def optima then change optima to 2 healer 1 debuff.see how fast both healer heal your pt.if kenat tahan grind somemore.

i love rpg eventhough ff13 kinda total letdown for my taste i still play it.

Added on July 17, 2010, 9:45 pmI believe that most probably is the console problem, time to change a new PS3 for him. Is very hard for a software to ruin your PS3.
I am not sure whether the complaint you read same as mine, so far I just saw one person experience that only, probably he played FF 13 for 24 hours non stop and the PS3 overheat.

I played FF13 - R3 with more than accumulated 130 hours with platinum, so far no problem, not even freeze once, this is the only game I never have freeze problem.

So no worry, go ahead and get it and enjoy.

ah yes...but my party either fang light hope or fang light sazh haha... so the only good i cn get is med med sen!

Personally I think you are still weak to deal with the turtle.
Try to grind more. And get 3 Sprint Shoe and equipped on your three characters, Sazh is weak.
You may upgrade your weapon until * for first level, if you want to upgrade to 2nd level also can, is up to you, right now is a good time to upgrade weapon if you have enough resources.

Why you wait R1? R3 is much cheaper, since no DLC for FF 13.

sazh is not really that bad..his stats suck though..
