hard but not that hard,,, i prefer u use fortisol n aegisol before battle the boss.use libra 1st on ur enemy so the AI wont cass wrong spell... 

last time,,, i use lightning fang n hope....

Just max your CP on whatever MAIN roles you have at that point if you want to. You can also move forward even without max it.

I believe you can break it.
The average of plat FFXIII is around 100-130 hours.

If not mistaken, Hope's eidolon shouldn't be that tough... just max your MAIN role for your character more than enough if you really can't beat it without max the CP.

Standard battle guide on Alexander (Hope's eidolon):

Paradigm Shift to Delta Attack the moment the battle begins, then go straight on the offensive. As soon as anyone's HP falls below 50%, switch to Combat Clinic. Hope and Lightning can heal the party within seconds. Now return to Delta Attack to resume the offensive. You may need to make the switch between the two Paradigms several times over the course of the encounter, with Alexander yielding when the Doom counter reaches approximately 300. Hope will receive the Alexander Eidolith and the much-needed boost of an additional ATB gauge segment

i prefer u go back there after finish storyline mode much more easier to pawn those monster 

For me, i do mission 7 repeatly. Luck is gud, i get tetra tiara after few try. break it to get haste ring to make 5 star more easier.
After get 3, then can safe to proceed

genji glove is an accesory. You can get a total of 3x gloves in the game (via Mark Missions). They cannot be bought or upgraded from another item.
The Genji GLove let's your character inflict more than 99,999dmg up to 999,999. Fang with ~90% HP or more and using her Highwind move can inflict this amount of damage to a staggered 999% and knocked down adamantoise.
