I don't know why but certain channel (SD) is fakap during random times everyday? Is it something else?

After removing sports pack I see SD channels hve improved significantly on PQ, The best joke today was a channel 211 programme was on channel 411 instead for abt 1/2 hour this morning, I wonder how many got that surprise today ! Thats asstro ! The surprises keep coming !!!!!!

Has the World Cup channels broadcast been stopped? If not, if u removed sports pack, how could the PQ improve? The bitrates shd be the same. I'm confused.

How about 5 HD channel for world cup? Any difference after that?

Maybe ! But overall I see some SD channels are better to see, the blurr VCD effect is less compared to earlier i.e after wc started. When tommorrow WC HD is gone maybe u guys may notice some changes. I had to bring my sharpnesss setting to less then 5 to see SD bcos it was so bad now I watching SD with sharpness at 20, not that bad ! HD channels are ok so far so good xcept for HBO and FX, not great at all !

I think writesimply got equipment to measure astro satellite signal bitrate, may be he can measure SD channels bit rate before and after World cup channels are gone

When to try? Oh yeah, few days back i saw Planet Green channel ad on Discovery channel too.

HDD PVR still get problem. reformat is not a best solution when my favorite recording file are deleted.

In this case the built in PVR is much more better.

looks like byond recording still in alpha test, not yet ready for prime time

Already spent almost RM300 for HDD, now have to spent more RM300 for PVR decoder.
What a waste...

Lucky for me to choose beyond pvr

does anyone know what channel EPL will be on next season?I saw the ESPN n Star Sport promo for August and there is no mention about the EPL or Champions League..Usually u would get the promo in July for August in previous years..

Astro n ESPN won the rights for the next 3 seasons and that means Astro now have the rights to produce the entire programme and match presentations..I sure hope EPL wont be on their in house channels..It will be crap like hell with their 'own' PRESENTERS' and 'PRESENTATION'..
