the debit card for Sg Mbb can only be obtained in Sg branches right and without debit card I could not create my online profile

just apply, MBB sg will send to you.

Then the MBB SG debit card arrived after that, which I thought of not proceeding with the account, but since it arrived at door step, why not.

but funny that Mbb specifically ask you on which Sg branch do you want to collect the debit card from? Most importantly, can we apply online account without the debit card?

Just open account and you will know. If you keep posting questions until when also you won't open account. Lol

Card will take like 1 month to arrive.

Last resort just call CIMB sg during office hours. Don't bother calling off hours, you'll reach their credit card dept who'll ask you to call back again during working hours

Here u go. Referral code deleted already. Hahahaha

Happy to share that I have successfully opened my OCBC Singapore account with just my IC and Passport.

The process of applying through the app is a bit a pain in the ass, as needs to do several times for the app to accept my IC. Tips, the ic can be slightly outside the rectangle.

Took about 3 working days for the account to be approved. Was given Global Savings Account and Statement Savings Account.

Initial deposit required is just SGD1000, it can be from your Singaporean bank account or Malaysian bank account. I already have Maybank SG account. So this is very seamless.

Despite the T&C showing initial deposit for non-resident Statement Savings Account is SGD20k. I just needed to deposit SGD1k. Not sure if this only applies for Malaysians or what.

Regardless, even if the fall below fee for non-resident Statement Savings Account which is 20k is imposed as per T&C (no fee for first year), don't worry, we can go around this.  cool2.gif

Once you have access to the OCBC SG online banking, you can immediately apply for other accounts like OCBC 360 (minimum balance 3k) or OCBC Frank (minimum balance 1k), Monthly Savings account (minimum balance 500) or other OCBC SG accounts. I prefer OCBC 360. I will close Statement Savings Account after this.

So for all Malaysians residing in Malaysia, with no SG pass whatsoever. Right now we have 3 easy options for SG bank accounts (Maybank, CIMB and OCBC), everything done online, super easy.

I received email from ocbc sg asking to confirm that I live in SG by doing one of the following:

a) Visiting any OCBC branch in Singapore and giving us your current Singapore residential address; or

b) Designating any of your OCBC accounts as your Singapore GIRO salary crediting account.

Looks like they are clamping down on non residents. ocbc sg is no longer viable.

Dear Valued Customer

When you opened your accounts with us, you indicated that they would be used for work, study or residential purposes in Singapore.

So that we can keep your accounts open, please confirm with us that you are living in Singapore by [...]. Here is how can do so:

a) Visiting any OCBC branch in Singapore and giving us your current Singapore residential address; or

b) Designating any of your OCBC accounts as your Singapore GIRO salary crediting account.

If you we do not hear from you by [...], we regret that we will have to impose certain restrictions (i.e. you can only make withdrawals but not deposits) on the accounts and subsequently close them
oh GG... looks like we have to strike OCBC off the list

Register OCBC Digital. =redacted for referral after reported=  blink.gif

Can read here about the things.

https://www.ocbc.com/group/media/release/20...foreigners.page

Just need Passport and $1,000 SGD in your Wise Account.

Managed to open ocbc account via app early this year but recently I got an email saying I need to provide sg address or the account will be closed. After reading your link, turns out this special convenience is for those foreigners planning to relocate to sg
Dang it, guess I need to switch to maybank sg? Or any another option that doesn't require sg residential address?

Xakiox Moomoo SG requires proof of bank statements. MBB sg doesn't have it. your only option is CIMB sg. cannot withdraw out to Wise for Moomoo SG
