What's the best way (and rates) to transfer MYR to SGD? with

1) cimb clicks my to cimb sg
2) transferWise
*
None of the above. Always use Sunway money. They give the best rate out there compare to everyone else.

While Sunway Money rates are better, I notice that the SGD always take 1-3 hours to appear in my SGD bank account. Wise might give poorer rate but the transfer is instant.

Not sure if you encounter the same situation.

I don't care about the timing. I only care those who can give me the best rate. 3h is acceptable for me.

Register an account here: https://sunwaymoney.com/

Once your account is set up you can transfer directly from the homepage. It should be fairly straightforward.

Take note that Sunway Money has a slightly different fee structure. They charge an extra "RM 1" service fee, unlike Wise or Instarem which include the fees together with forex markup.

So, when you compare Wise/Instarem and Sunway Money rate, to be accurate, you must always ensure Sunway Money's initial value in MYR is RM1 higher than Wise/Instarem for better accuracy. E.g. RM 2001 in Wise to SGD compared with RM 2000 in Sunway Money (RM 2001 deducted by Sunway Money during FPX transfer).

Open account with them. Perform ekyc on their app. If you free go face to face KYC.
eKYC Rm30k limit
Face to face RM50k

I am poor fag hence RM30k more than enough for me.

Only way to bring back USD from sg at cheap rate is via Wise.

Been desiring to use TOS but I need a DBS bank acc?
*
Yes and no. Yes if you want cheaper. Cause you can bank in USD and DBS rates are better than Malaysia banks
No cause you can direct wire money into TD using Malaysian banks. Whether they reject the transaction is another question. Heard some banks in Malaysia block transaction to TD cause it's blacklisted by Malaysian govt.

Wise rate is nice but they charge much higher transaction fee though, not sure if it is still cheaper overall compare to bank.

Last I check SGD it's cheaper Vs using DBS banks. But of course CIMB sg beats wise, DBS in terms of final amount received.

Between HSBC Premier vs SCB Priority banking as a gateway to open a Singapore based account, which would be better in terms of:

a) options of investment within Malaysia
b) option of investment within Singapore
c) speed to open the account at MY and SG

Thanks all in advance

I will say SCB cause their SCB brokersge is good (no fees) but loudy in terms of expensive Forex (hike up).

Best way is open CIMB Sg and open up independent brokerage.

For me, I won't go with either banks.
