First are you 18 years and above?
A Malaysian or Permanent Resident? Opening a Personal or Joint Account?
And please note the Minimum deposit of $5000. (In the form of a SGD Demand Draft)
Ok? Then next steps:

Visit your nearest Maybank branch, bring along your original Identity Card (IC), Police or Armed Forces ID Card, Birth Certificate and MyKid for Malaysians, and Passport for non-residents or foreigners, as your primary document.

You may also need to bring secondary supporting documents such as:
A valid passport (if IC is produced as a Primary document), a valid driving license, utility bills (e.g. water/electricity/telephone bills, Quit Rent, Assessment Notice) in the name and address of the customer opening the account, a Letter of employment or your Credit card.
And that's it! Scroll down to the bottom of the page for more details on how to apply now.

Tomei-R.. let me know if u are successful in opening without the LETTER OF EMPLOYMENT... from Malaysia without going to Sg.

ah talking about brokerage fee... MBB SG recently emailed me offering 2 type of account brokerage

KE Trade (Cash) Account
- A trading limit will be given for you to buy the shares first. Settlement to be done later.
- Shares are held in The Central Depositary (CDP)
- Commission rates are 0.275%, minimum of SGD25

KE Trade Prefunded Account
- You need to transfer funds into your account first. Funds that you leave in your trust balance earns an interest rate of 0.32%
- Shares are held with Maybank Kim Eng in a segregated sub-account
- Commission rates are 0.18%, minimum of SGD10

Can compare with SC's SGD10 brokerage?  biggrin.gif

thanks so much for this info.

Waste of money to TT bit by bit. Better to lump sum. Why? Each time TT kena charge RM10.60 regardless of amount.  tongue.gif
*
if using ALLIANCE any idea if there is charges from SINGAPORE?

Eg: if TT SGD 1K.. upon receive in Singapore bank , its still SGD 1K? or there are deductions?

so, far i see ALLIANCE hot rate is the best. but need be sure on charges.

Anything online can ... tranfer funds in , transfer funds out.. online banking stuff is not an issue.

only that i curious call them ask if I can use the DEBIT CARD for shopping... and if i put into MAYBANK singapore atm for withdrawal she say cannot. Need walk into MBB SG to activate pin no.

however can withdraw from MSIA ATM using the pin that was mail to us.
i hv not test this out.

May anyone mind to share that could I still walk in to any Maybank MY to open and Maybank SG account?and what was the requirement like?and the charges of transfer would like below?

Will there be any problem transferring money from my own account from SG to MY maybank ?

MY acc to SG acc = (MY) RM10.60 + (SG) $10
SG acc to MY acc = (SG) $15 MY no charges for incoming TT.
*
I TT from Alliance Bank to my MAYBANK SG.

RM 10 + SGD 20(agent feee).. then +SGD 10(deduct by MBB SG).

so, i think TT charges from Alliance expensive although give cheaper FOREX.

it works out the same. So TT transfer is very expensive.

QUOTE(kart @ Mar 2 2017, 09:50 PM)
For some Malaysian debit cards, we need to key in temporary PIN number in ATM, and change the PIN number of debit card to our own preferred PIN number.

But, I am unsure whether it is applicable for Maybank Singapore debit card or not.

If we can use Maybank Singapore debit card to withdraw cash in any Maybank Malaysia ATM, can we use Maybank Malaysia ATM to set a new PIN number for our Maybank Singapore debit card?  hmm.gif elea88, maybe you are unsure of this as well. Perhaps, some other iSavvy account users here have tried it before.
*
I have reset pin in MAYBANK SINGAPORE.

however for those who have receive the pin in envelope.. this pin is valid for all transactions even atm withdrawals etc.

for my own memory convenience I change to my own pin . Using any MBB ATM in Singapore.

kart here you go. Thanks for the info. Well what is in CDP stays in CDP. sad.gif transferring out is waste of money. Btw, did you select yes for financial advisory as mentioned in the form/we are not eligible?

If yes, any increase in brokerage fees?
*
oh.. i dunno got this financial advisory selection.

she say can just email/call/sms the assign broker to ask anything...

the thing i not happy with. is, if need to do withdrawal.. from NOMINEE ac to bank account. need to
call/email/sms the assigned broker.

No request online.

Btw, I also didn't receive everything from Maybank yet  tongue.gif

Ans: Usually one letter per week.  doh.gif

Really don't know what wrong with SG banks. Why do they like to send one by one and using normal post. Use DHL la. doh.gif

Went Singapore to open a Saving Account at Raffles Place, enquire few banks around the area (CIMB, UOB, DBS). All banks not allow foreigners to open without working permit, even offshore banks also not allowed to open unless initial fund with USD200k.
Looks like it is very strict difficult to open an bank account for foreigners in SG nowadays?
*
For Malaysian to open account in SG go read earlier pos...

MAYBANK I SAVVY. open from Malaysia.

after that open

CIMB SG..

no need even to walk around....in Singapore.

Hi everyone,

Will like to check with those who has opened the maybank isavvy sg account in KL. Did you get charged by maybank malaysia for the courier fee using DHL to courier the documents to maybank sg? Apparently, there is a charge of RM89.58 for the DHL courier fee for my case.

Thanks.
*
no charge. How they charge you? Auto deduct?
